Chapter 15

Jannelliza's pov:

Bigla akong napatayo sa kinauupuan ko matapos kong makita sila Lia at Joan na tila may dala.

"What's that?" I asked.

Binaba naman ni Lia ang harang nito at nagulat ako sa hitsura nito.

"What the hell is that?!" Joan asked in disbelief.

"Nakita namin ang mga rebelde na nilalalabanan ang mga ito." Turo ni Joan sa parang halimaw na nag-yeyelo ngayon.

"Mga?" tanong ko.

Huminga naman ng malalim si Lia bago sumagot. "Halos nasa 50 ang mga 'yan na hinarap ng mga rebelde."

"Sino at bakit n'ya ginawa ang mga' yan?" tanong ni Kris Ann.

"Hindi kami sigurado pero parang may taong gusting gumawa ng katulad mo Gen. Jannelliza." Tumingin na sagot ni Lia sa tanong ni Kris Ann.

Bigla naman akong pumunta sa opisina ni Dad at nakita ko ito na tila pagod.

"Dad come with me," I said before turning my back on him.

"What's happening?" He asked.

Pag-balik namin sa arena ay nakita kong tinitignan na rin nila Marcial ang nasa loob ng yelo, Dad suddenly run towards the ice and look at it.

"Did you make it Dad?" I asked.

Instead of answering my question he just pulled a thin metal from his bag and inserted it to the ice, after a few minute he puts the thin mental on some kind of device while having a serious expression.

"Damn it!" Dad roared.

"What's happening Dr. Situada?" Marcial asked.

Jonito's pov:

"Damn it!" I roared in anger.

How could this happened? No one ever knew about the experiment and if they do, they still won't be able to know my formula.

"What's happening Dr. Situada?" Marcial asked.

"A fea years ago, Jannelliza and my son Ivan had an accident and it almost took their lives. I don't want to lose my kids so I did an experiment to save them but it also changes their DNA," I explained.

"So you made this Dad?" Jannelliza asked.

"No," I honestly answered.

"Pero ano ito Dr. Situada?" tanong ni Joan.

"This is a man, mukang may taong sumusubok gawin ang experiment na ginawa ko kay Jannelliza. He got all the 60% of components right, if he got to 90% or 100% he might do it to his self and that will a problem," I explained.

"Sinong scientist ang gagawa ng bagong kagaya ko?" tanong ni Jannelliza.

"I'm not sure, many people are fascinated about my findings. But I already hide the the formula so no one could copy it," I honestly said before sitting on a chair.

"What if someone is trying to create a new version of the general to known by alot of people, parang kagaya n'yo Dr. Situada. Paano kung ang gustong gumawa ng kagaya ni Jannelliza ay gusto makilala ng maraming tao," singit ni Kris Ann.

"We must stop that person as soon as possible!" I firmly said.

"Saan mo ba unang sinubukan ang experiment mo Dad?" tanong ni Jannelliza.

"I made this experiment using animal, kayo ng kapatid mo ang unang tao na pinaggamitan ko ng experiment." Yumukong sagot ko.

"Ibig sabihin ay ang gusto gumawa nito ay minamadali ang experiment," sagot ni Kim.

"At ang taong gumagawa nito ay gumagamit ng inusenteng tao para rito." Turo ni Marc sa yelo.

"Tama kayo," sagot ko.

Bigla naman lumakad palapit dito si Jannelliza at hinati sa gitna ang nilalang, lumapit naman ito sa'kin at pinatong ang kamay sa balikat ko.

"Kim and Marc mag-ikot kayo sa gubat na malapit dito sa Empire, Marcial and Kurt mag-matyag kayo sa kampo ng mga rebelde, Lia and Kris Ann kayo ngayon ang mag-bantay sa labas ng empire at tayo naman Joan ay hahanap ng mga file ng mga nawawalng tao." Turo ni Jannelliza sa mga kasama n'ya.

My daughter is way more different than before but I can say that I'm proud of her changes, she looked at me with a worried expression.

"You need to be very careful Dad, the culprit behind this might have some problems with you." Jannelliza held my hand and I just smiled at her.

"I'm fine Jannelliza," I honestly said.

Tumayo naman ako at bumalik sa opisina ko, habang inaayos ko ang gamit ko ay bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si Dra. Ylreveb kasama ang assistant nito na si Morrigan.

"Kris Ann told me everything, how is this possible?" Dra. Ylreveb asked.

"I'm not sure Dra. Ylreveb, pero mukang ang gusto nito ay gumagamit ng mga Inusenteng tao at pag may Mali ay itinatapon sa gubat," seryoso kong sagot.

"The scientist behind this might be crazy Dr. Situada and Dra. Ylreveb," Morrigan said.

"Tama ka, kaya kailangan nila Jannelliza na malaman agad kung sino ang demonyo na nasa likod nito. If this continue he might create a monster from it every time he failed to perfect it, I'm also worried to my daughter since after I gathered some data it turns out that if they sense a successful experiment like my daughter they become more aggressive." I sat down on my chair while explaining.

"This will be a great danger for the Empire Dr. Situada!" Dra. Ylreveb said in shocked.

"Is there any way that we could prevent it from happening?" Morrigan asked.

"They need to find the place where they do the experiments and burn everything inside it," I said before I stood up and pick out a file.

"Ano ito Dr. Situada?" tanong ni Morrigan.

"Alam kong may gusto ka sa anak ko kaya hahayaan kitang malaman kung ano ang mga resulta ng experiment na ginawa ko sa kanya," sagot ko.

Kita ko naman na nagulat ito sa sinabi ko pero binasa n'ya parin kaagad ang file na hawak n'ya, tumingin naman ako kay Dra. Ylreveb.

"This is getting out of our control, what kind of person who would do this kind of experiment?" Dra. Ylreveb asked in frustration.

"A man that is greedy for power and wealth Dra. Ylreveb. I bet that man won't stop on doing this kind of inhumane experiments until he succeed," I honestly said.

"Wait, pumunta tayo sa opisina ko at susubukan ko na tignan sa satellite natin kung kaya kong hanapin kung saan pwede mag-mula ang mga 'yun." Tumayong saad no Dra. Ylerveb.

We all walked out of my office and went to her office to know if we could get anything from the outside of the empire and I do hope we could get our answer.

Jannelliza's pov:

Kasama ko ngayon si Joan at pareho kaming nag-hahanap ng mga file tungkol sa mga taong nawawala, habang nag-hahanap kami ay may lumapit naman sa'min na isang human empire police.

"General. Jannelliza," he said while saluting. "How can I help you General?" He asked.

"We are looking for some files about the missing people this past few months," Joan explained.

Bigla naman sumeryoso ang muka ng lalake bago umalis at tila may kinuha sa isang banda, mabilis nitong inabot sa'min ang limang black folder habang seryosong naka-tingin sa'min.

"5 months ng madaming nawawalang mga tao sa Empire, nagugulat na rin kami dahil maski mga preso ay biglang nawawala na parang bula. Mahirap hulihin ang taong nasa likod ng mga 'yan dahil wala man lang itong naiiwan na bakad," paliwanag ng lalake.

"That's impossible, how can a man do this kind of move when no one could even see him," Joan exclaimed while reading all the files.

"Thanks for the help," I said using a cold tone.

"No problem General. Jannelliza." The man saluted before leaving me and Joan.

"The crime is so clean Gen. Jannelliza, they could only see the victims food and hand print but now the culprit!" Joan exclaimed again.

"This kind of crime is very impossible to create or execute specially when you're not gifted with a good knowledge," I said with a serious expression in my face.

"What do you mean General?" Joan Asked with a hind of confusion on her voice.

"The man behind this kind of crime must be smart or a scientist since he's trying to replicate my father's legacy," I explained.

"Hindi ko maintindihan General," naguguluhang wika ni Joan.

"Ang taong nasa likod nito ay possibleng dating scientist ng empire o kaya naman matalino ito at gustong makilala oras na maging tagumpay ang experiment n'ya," paliwanag ko rito.

"If tama prediction ko, baka oras na maging successful and experiment n'ya at sa sarili n'ya ilagay ang gamot. Baka sakupin n'ya ang empire," sagot ni Joan.

"Maybe yes, maybe no. We still don't have any clue about the culprit," I spoke before walking out.

Pag-balik namin ng empire at ay agad kaming dumirtso sa opisina ni Dra. Ylreveb, nagulat naman ako ng makita ko si Daddy sa opisina nito at tila naging bato sa isang tabi.

"What's wrong Dad?" I asked.

"Nothing anak, I'm just worries about those innocent people that will be victimize by culprit," he said.

Lumapit naman ako rito at nilagay ko ang black folder sa desk nila.

"Did you find anything?" tanong ni Dra. Ylreveb kay Joan.

"We just found the file of all the missing person unside the empire and some prisoners that went missing," Joan explain.

Morrigan suddenly interrupted the conversation and joined in

"That means we have a bigger problem."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

Marrigan stood up before answering my question. "In the past few years I know that the only problem of the empire is the Rebellion but now we have a new enemy to face, the one behind those experiments are just missing about 6-7 components and he's going to succeed if he finally success."

"In short, if we don't destroy the laboratory of the culprit, he might do it all over and over again to the innocent people until he succeed," Dad explained.

"What are we going to do?" Joan Asked.

"Don't worry, hinahanap ko ngayon kung saan natin sila pwedeng mahanap." Nakatingin sa monitor na sagot ni Dra. Ylreveb.

"Subukan mong macontact sila Marcial, Kim at Kris Ann." Tingin ko kay Joan.

Sumaludo naman ito bago tumalikod.

"Morrigan come with me," I ordered.

Tumango naman ito at sumunod sa'kin palabas, pumasok naman kaagad ni Morrigan sa office ni Daddy.

"What are we doing here inside the office of Dr. Situada?" he asked.

"Wait a second," I said before opening a drawing.

I held his hand and put his thumb to a scanner, the ball suddenly formed into a gun.

"I want you to stay safe Morrigan so use this gun if you know that something isn't right," I explained.

"Does this mean I'll be in danger too?" he asked.

"Yes, pero susubukan kong protektahan ka hanggang kaya ko Morrigan." Hawak ko sa kamay nito.

Ngumiti naman ito sa'kin na tila biglang nag-pabilis ng t***k ng puso ko.

"That's all I need to know Jannelliza," he said with a soft smile on his lips before he put his thumb on my face and rub my cheek.
