“If you have no other business here in the palace, you may already leave, Jayden. The palace nurse has work to do.” This guy is testing my patience. He wants my kingdom, now he wants my Queen?
Jayden slowly released Thalia’s hand. Too slow for my liking.
“Why are you so worked up, Jerald? Relax! I just noticed the sign outside. It got me curious. Anyway, you have a stunning nurse here.” He smiled at Thalia before speaking to her. “I think we will be seeing each other more when the king comes back, my lady.” He raised his hand to Thalia’s face to caress her cheek with his thumb.
He then looked back at me with a mocking smile before taking his hand away.
“I’ll see you when the King comes back, brother. For now, take care of yourself.” He then stepped out of the clinic.
