I’m Grace Audrey Moonsong Howland……. I am the youngest child of my deceased parents, Lynn and Solomon Howland. I am a werewolf and so is my whole family. I live in the werewolf pack called Crystal Wolf Lake Reserve.
My parents had (4) four children before they passed away. My mom was killed in a car accident when I was (5) five years old. A year later, my father died in his sleep from grief, unable to live without his second chance mate.
I have an older brother named Isiah. He is older by two years. I am the youngest in a set of triplets. Faith is the oldest, followed by Chastity, then me. I was the unexpected bonus child, spare child and/or burden depending on who you talk to in my family. My parents knew they were having twins and planned for it. I, being a runt, had been hiding every time an ultrasound was done. Furthermore, that is the reason they couldn’t pick up my faint heartbeat. My parents loved me. They used to call me their “unexpected treasure”.
When my parents died, our Uncle Aaron and Aunt Sarah took us in and raised us. They didn’t have any kids of their own. My dad, Solomon and my Uncle Aaron were identical twin brothers. They were raised to share the Beta title of the Crystal Wolf Lake Reserve Pack in the state of Massachusetts. They were also raised to know they had to share one fated mate.
My Aunt Sarah was their fated mate. She didn’t want two mates. She was afraid of what people would say or think. My Aunt Sarah is all about her image. So she chose my Uncle Aaron, believing him to be the stronger of the two men. My father accepted her rejection after one year of trying to convince her to change her mind, knowing it could possibly kill him. Twins share one soul, so if separated, death is a 70% likely probability.
My Dad didn’t die. However, he was granted a second chance mate by the Moon Goddess Selena, my mother Lynn. Everyone says my Aunt Sarah became extremely jealous of their relationship. There were even whispers and rumors, I was told when my mother died. People suspected my Aunt Sarah had something to do with it, but it was never proven. However, what did happen was every day for that one year my father lived, my Aunt Sarah begged him to become her mate, again. She was deeply sorry and wanted to rebuild their mate bond. My father had refused, stating that ship sailed a way a long time ago.
I am (22) twenty-two years old. My sister Chastity confirmed her mate at 18 years old, our Gamma Kane’s son Chancey. The Gamma family has always supported and loved Chastity. They even throw her own separate birthday parties. They have been in love since toddlers and are completely inseparable.
My oldest sister, Faith, has been dating our soon-to-be Alpha Montego for the last six (6) years. They discovered they were fated mates when she turned 18 years old. My oldest sister, Faith, has been on pins and needles all day. She will become Montego’s Luna at the Ascension Ceremony tonight.
Alpha Montego and my brother Beta Isiah left eight years ago to learn to be the best leaders, for our pack’s success. They spent the first two years touring, observing other packs. The next two years at the Alpha & Beta Academy, NCUW. NCUW stands for the Northern Continental University of Werewolves located in the state of Montana. It’s the top university for Alpha and Beta pairs to attend.
Their program is the hardest to complete of all the other Universities. NCUW is for the strongest and most dedicated Alpha and Beta pairing only. Everyone knows they only got in because of my brother. He is an Alpha-born Beta and is the smarter and strongest out of the two. If it wasn’t for my brother Isiah, our weak, soon to be Alpha Montego would have washed out in the first semester. So it was no surprise when his father, Alpha Anderson, signed them up for two more years in the Royal Army Bootcamp and another two years of military work for the Royal Family of North America. He had hoped to get a stronger and smarter version of his son in that last-ditch effort.
I have not seen Alpha Montego since I was 14 years old at him and my brother’s going away party. However, I have seen my brother at least twice or once a month. No matter where they are in the world, we have always figured it out. We Facetime each other daily. I am not close to Alpha Montego at all. I used to have a crush on him when I was like nine (9) years old, but once, he permanently started calling me “Runt” in some form or fashion, or Faith’s personal favorite “Your Royal Darkness”. I quickly got over that crush. Besides, he will be a weak leader and a follower with no real backbone.
My sister Faith is a bully. All my sister cares about is herself. Goddess knows if Faith doesn’t have the sluttyish outfit, then everybody will be miserable until she gets it. This pack will go straight to HELL if my brother Isiah ever leaves along with my sister Chastity. Chastity is the designated peacemaker and mediator in our family. Unfortunately, she leans more towards Faith’s side every time.
My brother Isiah and Luna Naomi are my two biggest supporters. Uncle Aaron supports anything his wife says. She hates me because I look the most like my mother. Plus, I’m a runt and my coloring is wrong in her eyes. My brother is 6’3. My sisters are both 5’10. I am 5’6 perfect for a human female, which I am not. I am a she- wolve. In our world, anyone 5’6 and under is considered a runt.
I was born with violet, almost indigo-colored eyes. My brother and I both have black hair so dark a blue hue shines when the light hits it. Than their the subject of both our skin tones, a rich caramel olive. Humans would definitely consider us African-American in their world. My brother has light brown eyes. My brother and I both favor my mother's side of the family in looks; that’s why only us two carry the Moonsong name out of my parents' four (4) children.
My Aunt Sarah has forced me to wear light brown eye contacts. Since I was 6 years old, to stop all the attention from being on me and have it focused back on Faith, her favorite child. My Asian Bae and my family are the only ones that know my true eye color. My brother is the only one that knows about my Asian Bae.
My sisters look more like my Aunt and Uncle, with pale olive skin, dark brown hair dyed blonde and light brown eyes-almost amber looking. My sisters look more mixed race or Italian. My Aunt Sarah loves my brother because he will be the Beta. Plus, he smells the most like my deceased father. She thinks we don’t know this fact, but how can we not when she is always smelling him or his clothes or his room.
My brother and I look more like our Heartsong ancestors, coloring and all. The Moon Goddess was said to have blessed this bloodline with power and amazing voices. A Moonsong's song……. Is from the heart, as the surname implies, and when singing they can influence the emotions of those within hearing range.
The fated mate of a Moonsong can form a deeper soul binding connection when the mates sing together with power. A very powerful and magical bond will be created that will bind the mates through reincarnation, according to the old legend.
