Rue’s POV
I woke up to the slow breathing of Aleria beside my head but she was sleeping too. As I moved to come down from the bed, she some up.
My head was hurting and the wound was painful but I could bear it.
“Heyy, what are you doing here?” I asked her in the softest voice I could muster since I didn't see any adults around and I was in the alpha’s room. What really happened I wanted to ask, but not to the little girl. She would not know anything anyway. I'm sure it is a miracle that I am alive even.
