Ezekiel I don’t understand Emily, one second she is a scared little kitten, next a brave tigress ready to see what life will throw at her. I felt her eyes on me the whole time during the bus ride, until I laid my head back down. Freya was distracting me as she swirled her hands in the air as Elisa tried to get her to sit still. Chuckling, I just watched until it was their stop to get off the bus. Be good-Me We will!-They all said in unison. I doubt it, I thought without using our pack link. Next stop, the high school. As the bus began to move again. Thankfully there are only five of us that are in high school, as I couldn’t imagine what the school would look like if there were any more. As the bus came to a stop, I got up. Stepping back as I let Emily step in front of me. Smiling shyly she scouts to the end and stands up. Not even reaching my chest, smirking as her petite frame moved in front of me. Once she gets some meat on her bones, I bet she’d have a gorgeous body. I watched as she tried slipping on her backpack, but she was beginning to have issues where she couldn’t find the strap. Gently, I pulled the strap over her hand and adjusted it onto her small shoulders. “Thank you, Ezekiel.” She said in such a soft voice that I almost missed it. “You're welcome, please call me Zeke. All my friends do.” I told her as I stepped forward, following her closely. “Are you sure? Won't that be disrespectful?” She asked while slowly making her way down the bus aisle. “I’m sure, and it’s not if I ask you too.” I told her with a soft chuckle. “Ok, thank you Zeke.” She said before scurrying off the bus and into the building. Smiling, I walked to the bus driver and said “Have a good morning, Larry!” “You too, Zeke.” He called back as he shut the door after I exited. Time to move to English class. First off, who ever decided English should be a morning class needs an a** beating. Cause I can not understand a thing Mrs. Gibson is trying to teach us this week, as I walk in I give her a smile and say “Morning, Mrs. Gibson!” “Good morning to you as well, Mr. Dawson. Are you ready to get that brain of yours flowing?” She asked while writing on the board about our assignment for the day. Sighing, I say “I’m definitely ready.” Knowing fully well, that that was a lie. Smiling, I looked at the clock seeing any minute it would ring, signaling the beginning of the class was about to start. Then I saw her, Emily walked in and paused at the door way. Her eyes wide at the full classroom, giving her a wave I tapped the desk beside me. Giving her a huge smile as she scurred into the class, head lowered as she made a beeline towards the desk next to me. “Fancy seeing you here.” I said with a smirk as she gave me a quick glance, her smile appeared as she stared slowly sitting up more in her seat. “Ok class, today we are learning about cause and effect. I want you each to come up with an essay where you give a topic, for example global warming. Then you need to tell me all the effects of said global warming. Sounds easy right. Now I want you to use the tablets in front of you and use one of the sites I’ve written here on the board. Tomorrow I want your outlines, so definitely get to work.” Mrs. Gibson said while walking to her desk, she usually checks off our names as we start our work. Reaching for the tablet, I tab the screen. Watching as the screen comes to life, I glance at the board and click the search bar. Typing in the ridiculously long site, I hit enter. Waiting for it to load, I take a glance at Emily to see she’s just sitting there looking at the tablet like it's a snake about to bite her. Leaning over, I tab the screen. Hearing her gasp as the screen comes to life. Wow, she definitely doesn’t know what this is. “Mr. Dawson, what are you doing?” Mrs. Gibson asked while getting up and walking closer. “Just trying to help Emily” I tell her with a smile. “Ms. Moore, are you having difficulties?” Mrs. Gibson asked Emily. “Yes.” Emily says quietly. “What seems to be the issue?” Mrs. Gibson asked again. “I don’t know how to use this.” Emily said while pointing at the tablet on her desk, causing a few students to laugh. Growling, seemed to have made them shut up. As my eyes scanned the classroom to see who started it, it was so hard to tell. Moving my eyes back to Emily, I told Mrs. Gibson “I can help her figure everything out.” Causing a few girls to gasp, yes I may have turned down a few girls and I may have never given any girls my attention before but that is totally normal..right? “Ok, but don’t fall behind Mr. Dawson.” Mrs. Gibson said before walking away and back towards her desk. Smiling, I pulled Emily’s desk closer with ease as I started explaining how the tablet worked. From using the buttons, apps, and how to search up things. I then gave it back to her, “Is it a little easier now?” I asked. Smiling up at me she says, “Yes, thank you so much. I think I got the hang of it now.” “Good. if you need any kind of help just tab my arm and I’ll help yah.” I told her while turning back to my screen and scrolling through the website, feeling like I might be at a loss here. Deciding to change the site to a different one she wrote on the board, I started tapping on an article about a war breaking out. I wonder if I can use this? Then I felt the most delicate hand tap my forearm, her skin was so soft and it felt like she zapped me or something. Smiling over at her, I lean towards her and look at the tablet “What seems to be the problem?” I asked softly. “Well the screen wont move.” She told me while moving her finger on the screen only for the screen to stay at the same image point. Hmm… Reaching over I placed my finger on the screen and moved it around, yep it froze. I tried to turn the tablet off and back on, But it froze to the same screen. “Mrs. Gibson, Emily’s tablet froze. I tried turning it off and back on, but it’s not working.” I said, hoping that she can either share mine or they have a spare. “Well, just lend her yours after you're done. I’ll have the tech guy come in and look at it at the end of the day.” Mrs. Gibson said while typing away at her computer. Smiling, I tell Emily, “Well I guess we are partners now.” As I lean in closer to let her see my screen.
