Chapter 2: Stranger

1057 Words
Tasha’s pov I looked at Nathan who was looking at me like a complete stranger. “Yes, who are you?” Mrs Cullens asked me, but I was looking at Nathan. “Is this a prank? Come on Nat, this isn’t funny. Do you know how worried I was about you?” I asked him. “Listen young lady, I get that you are his fan and all, but you need to leave,” Mrs Cullens said and I looked at her confused. “Why are you acting like this?” I asked and looked at Nat who looked down. “Get her out of here,” he said, and the guards dragged me out. I kicked and yelled but nothing worked at all. Mrs Cullens then came out after and the door to Nathan’s room was closed shut. The men stood there like bodyguards; well I guess that they are bodyguards. “It’s a Christmas miracle,” Mrs Cullens said, and I looked at her confused. “You still don’t understand do you?” she asked me. “Get what?” I asked her and she chuckled at this. “This is why I didn’t want you to date him. You are so naïve,” she said and then sighed as she started patting my head. She doesn’t like me, and even when she is doing something like this I can tell. It is as if she is mocking me, what one does to show fake sympathy but why show fake sympathy? “Nathan, he hit his head really hard in the accident. And guess what, he doesn’t remember you at all. It is as if the last few months since he met you never happened,” she explained. She chuckled and even did a little jump as she broke the news. “I never liked you, now he will finally marry the girl I want him to marry,” she added. I just froze on the spot, he forgot me. How is it even possible? He forgot the last months we spent together. It is just temporary right? “Your son is hurt; he has lost his memories and all you care about is what you want?” I asked her and she rolled her eyes. “Yes, I am his mother, and what I want matters. Now, get out before I make you,” she says and now it was my turn to smile. “My apartment is filled with pictures of us. The internet is filled with articles of our love story, my phone is filled with videos of us and our chats. He doesn’t remember me, but I know that he will remember that he loves me,” I said, and she laughed. “Good luck with that,” she said and gestured that they drag me out again. I raised my hand as they were about to touch me and walked out on my own. I went straight to my apartment but as I got closer I realized that the door was open. Someone picked the lock, but how is that even possible? This place is honestly the most secure place I could find. Yes, the apartments are small but safety in such a place has never been an issue. I don’t have time to wait for the police or to see if something was stolen or not. I need my phone, which is inside, and would have been able to call for help even if I wanted. I walked in took the broom that was by the door and looked around. No one was there, but my place felt weirdly empty as I looked around. It doesn’t matter, the priority right now is proof of our relationship. I mean some of my things were all over the place and discarded. But that is a matter for another time when I finally show Nathan the truth. I turned to take the photo that was in my bedside drawer, but it wasn’t there. I looked around and that’s when I noticed that all the photos I had of me, and Nathan were gone. And I mean all of them, I looked around and couldn’t even find one. I took my phone and decided that I would show him the photos on my phone. But even my phone wallpaper was different, and my phone seemed like a brand-new phone. All my preferences were gone, the font preference and the brightness were different as well. I looked around and my phone was completely empty, as empty as the day I bought it at the store. I checked my cloud and nothing, everything that I had backed up was gone. What the hell is happening here? I sat down to look at the articles that were written about us but couldn’t even find one. There is only one person in this world with enough power and influence to completely erase all traces of my relationship. And why did I even tell her my plan? Why is she doing this to me? My knees gave out, how on earth am I going to prove my relationship now? I know Nathan, he is a practical person who will want evidence and without it, he won’t believe me. It doesn’t matter, he will remember me, and that I know for a fact. After everything we have been through, he can’t forget me so easily right? He can’t forget all those nights we spent talking and everything and anything. He can’t forget about our first kiss and when he asked me to be his girlfriend. He can’t forget all that right? He can’t forget the night when he stopped the car so we could dance in the rain. He can’t forget that he said he would buy me flowers no matter the season. He can’t forget that he promised me that no matter where we are, as long as we hear my favourite song we will dance to it. He can’t forget, right? This is all just a temporary thing. He once told me that he knew I was the one the moment he looked into my eyes. All he has to do is look into my eyes, right? And he will remember me? He has to remember me; he has to remember me. How can he forget me?
