BRANDON'S POV I was happy that finally, I was going to school. Finding that w***e in our kitchen in the morning made me so pissed. I couldn't even afford to have my breakfast. Anyway, I didnt mind over the same, I would just grab some coffee in a Java cafe and I would be good to go. I got to my car and started driving off. I had an 8:00am lab session and I had to make it there on time. I value my grades more than everything else and that is why I am doing this. "Hi Brandon,"Sasha greeted me as soon as I walked into them seated outside the lab. “Hi Sasha,” I greeted her before putting my earphones on. I didn’t want to talk to her let alone listen to her. Sasha is those types of girls in my case. She is always psyching up for me and I never want that. I don’t like her. “Come on man, you have to treat her right!” Where the hell did Martin come from? We are not doing the same course. He told me after pulling the earphones from my ears. “Martin, what are you doing here, you are not supposed to be here,” I told him. “I am here to ensure that you have a girlfriend,” He told me this and I tried to stop him from talking out loud. The last thing I wanted is for my classmates to know that I am in need of a girlfriend. “Come on, not here,” I whispered and I hoped that he would do that too. “It has to be here, I have already found the perfect match for you,” He told me this and I didn’t know what he was talking about. “Who?” I asked him. This whole thing scared me. I never knew if it is really the right time to have a girlfriend. “Sasha, look, she is even staring at you right now. That girl has always loved you since you guys were in your first year,” Martin told me and I was in denial. There is no way I was going to date her. Let me not deny this, I knew that she was in love with me but I don’t really know if the two of us should be dating. “Not Sasha, please, let it be somebody else. I am not even sure about this,” I told Martin but he didn’t listen to me. All that he wanted to do was to make Sasha aware that I had taken a very keen interest in her. “Sasha,” Martin called Sasha who was at our beck and call. She started coming towards us already. “Shoot your shot man, you will thank me later. It is nice to find a woman who loves you a lot and please don’t lose this chance with Sasha,” Martin advised me before he walked away. By the time he was leaving, Sasha was standing right in front of me, she was literally at my service. “Hey Sasha, there is something that I want to tell you,” I trusted my friends advice and I hope that I am not making a wrong decision. “I have also wanted to tell you something,” She was quick to tell me something and this is the first thing that I did not like about her. She is too talkative yet I don’t like it. “Shh…Okay. Come, sit here,” I pointed to the empty seat next to me. “Really?” She asked me. This is like a dream come true. She wanted me to ask her out for the longest time and now that I am finally doing it, she is in cloud nine. “Yes, really, I want you to sit next to me because I have something important to tell you,” I told her and she gave me a yellow smile. I was about to ask her out when the lab technician called us into the lab. We wore our lab coats and walked into the lab. We had a practical on blood transfusion and we were determining a secretor and a non-secretor. Sasha was in my group as usual and this time, she was extra hyper. What I told her excited her. She couldn’t wait for the practical to end so that I could tell her what I wanted to tell her. Finally, the practical come to an end and we signed off having in mind that we are going to write a report on that practical topic we just covered. “Where do you stay?” I asked Sasha as we walked out of the lab area. “I live in the school hostels, you?” She asked me. “I live out of school,” I told her. A small moment of silence passed and I figured that I should just tell her the truth that all I wanted do is to ask her out on a date. “Listen, Sasha,” I held her chin gently when I went in front of her. “Yes Brandon,” He looked up and her eyes met mine. I could see love written all over her eyes. That gave me a go ahead to tell her what I really wanted from her. “Sasha, I know that you may want us to be more than friends. I also want that. That is why I am asking you kindly, if it is possible that is. Sasha, would you go on a date with me?” I asked her and she was so happy. “I will go on a date with you,” She agreed and hugged me tightly. I hugged her too. I was happy that I made her so happy. “Tonight at seven, I will pick you up,” I told her but she was startled. “But you don’t have my number,” She reminded me an important thing. “Yea right,” We exchanged numbers before I allowed her to walk away. I was happy that I was finally doing this. Martin was probably right. Maybe I need a girlfriend to understand why my dad has a new girlfriend right now as we are talking. I was going to my car when I saw someone familiar. I think that is Jenny. I recalled her face once again. What is she doing at the school?” The funny thing she was with some man who was not my dad. Maybe they are friends, I was going to ignore her when I say the guy kissing her on the lips. I couldn’t waste any more time. I was going to face her and later tell my dad whom she really is.
