"Hey, bro, I mean, Sir, is this how you wanted so much that you cannot wait a bit longer? My wrist hurts, you know?" Axel complained.
Shawn suddenly stopped hearing what Axel just said. He turned his head to his back, sending a deadly look on Axel. "Shut up, young man," he grumbled, silencing Axel for a second.
Whispering, Axel mouthed okay before he zipped his lips together. Then, he plastered a mischievous smile on his lips which made Shawn shoving a bad look at him. When he noticed Shawn already has a face that could not be painted, he smiled innocently and showed his purest puppy-eyed look acting as if he did nothing.
Shawn tsked, annoyed. He continued walking towards the door just a few more meters away from them. He tightened his grip on Axel's wrist and he dragged him with force compared to the way he dragged Axel before he stopped in the middle of the way, earning him a soft whimper from Axel.
He shook his head, hissing to himself. He couldn't believe that he had a one-night stand with the guy he's trying to have a talk about this time. He was considering it as a one-night stand only, just a mere s*x, because first and foremost, he barely knows Axel. And he was too young for him. And most importantly, he is not in love with him for Pete's sake. He could not even imagine what he was thinking during that night. How come he thought Axel is Neil? Did he really drink that much beer that night causing him to be drunk and beat his alcohol tolerance?
Shawn immediately grabbed the doorknob as they reached in front of the door. He pushed it, opening it widely. Then, he stepped one foot inside. Half of his body was already in the emergency exit. He checked it if it was safe there to have a talk with Axel.
As what Shawn had expected, there was no one on the stairs of the emergency exit. He pulled Axel closer to the door, making the guy enter first. Then, he pushed Axel to the side of the door. He peeked his head, watching from left to right if someone saw them enter the door leading to the emergency exit. When he was certain that they were safe, he slowly closed the door, preventing it from producing a creaking sound. He needed to be careful since the door is made of steel. Even though it has a spring that will prevent the door from slamming as it closes, it will easily make an unwanted sound if he makes even a single wrong move.
Shawn slightly jumped to his back, stepping his right foot backward, as he was surprised by Axel's that was only inches away from his when he turned to see him. Axel was standing on his side steadily with a grin on his lips.
He took a deep breath as he tried to calm himself down. "What are you trying to do?" with brows aligned as one, he snorted, covering the shock he felt.
"What do you think, Mr. Jimenez?" Axel replied suggestively. He placed his right thumb under his jaw and slowly followed the remaining fingers of his right hand starting with his pinky finger and lastly his index finger, consecutively tapping on his left cheek. He hummed, lifting his face upwards as if he was thinking. "I thought you brought me here because you want us to continue what he started that night on your soft and comfy bed inside your room..."
Axel trailed his eyes on Shawn's body. He gulped when he realized how toned Shawn's body was especially with the blue business suit he was wearing that fitted him well. He stopped examining Shawn's well-built body when he saw Shawn, not in the mood on flirting with him. But the suggestive smile did not fade on his lips.
Shawn was really annoyed by the way Axel interacted with him. He really had the guts to flirt with me inside my building and his boyfriend was on the same floor, he thought, disbelief.
He heaved a sigh first before opening his mouth. Axel must realize what he was doing is not right. "Is this the way you talk with your boss, Axel?" with the intimidating voice he learned from the past year's of running his own company, he asked calmly.
He saw Axel stiffened and bowed his head for a while. A good sign for Shawn. He smirked secretly but it was instantly washed out when Axel faced him with a wide smile on his lips. It looked like Axel was happy instead of being intimidated by him. He was wrong for thinking that the young guy in front of him would easily surrender just like any of his employees he talked with the same tone of voice.
"Nice to hear that you already know my name even if I did not tell you my name, Mr. Jimenez." Axel leaned his face forward, sniffing the manly scent of Shawn's body perfume.
Shawn pushed Axel's head away from him using his right index finger. "You're unbelievable. Don't think so highly of yourself, kiddo. Your boyfriend mentioned your name before you walked out the room without the right manner in front of me." He crossed his arms against his chest. "In case you forget, Axel, I am your boss. Only a word from me, I can pull you out from being a trainee in my company. And another thing, I didn't bring you here to do whatever your mind is thinking. I brought you here to clarify things between us. And for us to work in my company without any awkward atmosphere. Understood?"
"Ohh..." Axel formed an o on his mouth as he looked at Shawn, surprised. "Awkward? Why, Mr. Jimenez? Do you feel awkward around me? Because if you will ask me, I don't feel any awkwardness when I am near you. In fact, I want to get closer to you, Sir." He moved forward. "Closer than ever like when you stabbed me deeply that night, Mr. Jimenez. I like it." He chuckled. "No. I loved how you shoved me under you." He then licked his lips, making it wet, shining, with his saliva.
Shawn shook his head as he made a sound. "I can't believe we have a trainee like you here in SJ Entertainment. I wonder how you got in here with your attitude. Plus, you have a boyfriend who I suppose is also a trainee here. I pity your boyfriend," he said disgustingly, looking down on Axel as a person.
He did not have any plan on speaking like this towards Axel. But the latter pushed him to do it. He did not know where Axel got all the confidence to talk with him like this as if it was a normal thing to do with a stranger. Well, they were strangers when that drunken night happened. And now, they had this employer-employee relationship and it is not normal to act and talk this way with your boss.
"Hey! That's below the belt already, Mr. Jimenez." Axel put a hand on his chest right above his heart. He showed a hurt expression, clutching his chest.
"You crossed the line first, Axel. Stop acting like it was my fault because that will not work for me. Again, stop what you are doing with your life. The likes you just did to now. You have a boyfriend which technically you shouldn't have since you're going to be an idol-" Shawn was cut in between his words when he heard Axel hold his laughter, biting his lips hard inside his mouth. He narrowed his eyes on him with a serious glare. "What are you laughing at?"
"You know, Mr. Jimenez, you need to loosen up. You really are funny in your own ways," Axel started. He was still holding himself from laughing so hard. He doesn't want to spit hurtful words at him again because it really hit him straight to his bones and he didn't know why. He moved away from Shawn. He settled himself on the cemented steps of the stairs going up. He sat on the third step, pressing his palms on his sides. His feet on the first step.
Shawn twisted his body, following Axel with his eyes. He leaned his right shoulder on the wall beside him. "What are you saying?"
Axel calmed himself by taking deep long breaths. "Who told you that I have a boyfriend, Mr. Jimenez? I know for myself that I am single ever since. But I don't mind if you want to be my boyfriend. You know, you already took me to your place. And it felt so good to be with you," Axel explained. Then he smiled as if he did not add a flirtatious tone on the last line that he said.
Shawn raised an eyebrow. He's reluctant from what Axel just said. "Huh?" he reacted, not believing. "Who are you fooling, Axel? You and that guy who held your hand tightly don't have a relationship, boyfriends to be exact? And I know the kind of look he was throwing at you and let's add how he talks with you," he pointed out. He knew that it wasn't nothing. He's been there on that stage when he was their age, too. He was like that to Neil.
Neil.
He clenched his jaw. He shouldn't have thought of Neil already. His first love is happily married to his friend, Russel. And it has already been years. He must forget what he feels for him already.
Axel laughed hard getting Shawn's attention from his deep thoughts about Neil. His hand was on his mouth already, helping himself not to burst into loud laughter. "I don't know where you get that and assumed this between me and my co-trainee, Mr. Jimenez. But I can assure you, I am still single and always ready to mingle, and to be fished by someone like you." He winked.
"You called that guy hun. Isn't that an endearment of a couple?" Shawn made a point again.
Axel stood up. He shook the dust off his pants with his hands. It amazed him seeing Shawn assuming things between him and Hunter. He looked straight at Shawn who was an inch or two smaller than him now since he was standing on the first step of the stairs. "Of course..."
"See? You just confirmed it now." Shawn shrugged his shoulders. He turned his back at Axel and was about to leave when Axel continued his words.
"I'm still not finished, Mr. Jimenez. And here you are again l, assuming things that don't exist." Axel waited for a second, expecting Shawn would turn again to face him. When he thought it was hopeless for Shawn to look back at him, he continued. "Of course, I would call him hun because his name is Hunter. My goodness... Don't tell me it was the reason why you are pushing that Hunter is my boyfriend? Then, that makes me think and question that you are jealous of our closeness, Mr. Jimenez... Am I right?" A wide playful smile crept on Axel's lips.
Shawn, with eyes widening, finally spun around, looking so disbelief at Axel. "What the fvck?" He walked closer to him. If looks could kill, Axel would definitely be out of breath now.
He was trying not to say another set of bad words on Axel but it triggered him that much. He opened his mouth, ready to spite a fact, when the door abruptly opened freezing them in their position where their faces were an inch away from each other.
