Almost all the dares Skye accepted, she have done it bravely because it's either she was drunk or maybe she's frustrated on something that she just wanna divert it to other things.
But now, she's neither of both. She's sober and not even a bit of her body felt anger. She is rather calm, or at least that's what herself trying to believe as she ignores the rapid beating of her heart and the slight trembling of her hands.
She's not stupid though but she make a stupidest idea sometimes. Just like what she is doing now. It's so impossible for the woman to let her kiss her just for a dare, but she still dared to. The woman doesn't even fully know her. What if she said no or will she even talk to her. She's not even sure if she's into girls. If she just kiss Vanessa right then, she wil not have a problem at all. But her stubborn self kept letting her do the thing she might regret.
'Just a kiss on the cheek will do, Skye.' she said to her mind as she walk towards the counter. 'Don't be such a p***y. Besides, this is your chance to know her. And thank her too.' Skye added.
Skye then took a deep breath when she finally reached the counter. She is now a meter away from the blueish grey eyed woman who she thought her angel.
'God, she's beautiful.' she thought as she openly gazed on her side profile, standing there like some i***t. 'Is this for real? Or am I hallucinating?' she added.
"Excuse me, do you need anything dear?"
Skye's staring was interrupted when the middle aged woman, whom is the cashier of the diner suddenly asked her.
She turned and look at her direction and said. "Oh , Ahmm, yeah." she sighed and carefully sat down on the stall next to the woman as she thought about what to say. Keep glancing at her way and back to the cashier.
"Can I have a coffee please?" she politely said and the woman nodded.
"Okay." she said.
Skye cleared to get the attention of the person beside her but she's not even bothered and just kept drinking her cup of coffee.
She started to feel discouraged just by that. But then she doesn't lose hope.
Skye turned her head to look at her friends and have some encouragement from them but she just raised her eyebrow at them.
Her friends were not enthusiastically cheer her up but rather they were doing questionable movement.
Seamus was frantically waving at her to come back on her seat while Eric was just sitting their beside him, worries written on his face. As for Vanessa, she shaking her head slowly as she mouthed the word 'No', like a mother who's scolding her child. While Piper was kept signalling her to stop what she was about to do and kept mouthing 'come back here.'
Skye look at them confusingly and mouthed back a 'what?'. She was about to reconsider her mission because of the behavior of her friends but Dean caught her attention.
He was rather calm, and surprisingly, he was smirking at her way. Looking at her as if waiting for her to do the dare. He's like a menace player on a game mocking you and waiting for you to fail because he knew you would.
Skye squinted her eyes at him and turned her attention on the woman behind the counter as she gave the cup of coffee to her.
"Here's coffee." the woman said and got back to her work.
Skye took her coffee and smirked. That boy is really challenging her. Even though she may get embarrassed at the end she will still push it through to prove to him that she can do it.
She took a sipped on her cup of coffee and then grimaced on it's taste. It was too bitter for her. But she doesn't mind it as she took another sip and took a deep breath before facing the woman who's surprisingly quiet on the while duration.
"H-hi." Skye stuttered and scolding herself mentally afterwards. "Hi." she said again with a stable tone of voice this time but the woman didn't even turned her head in her direction. 'Is she deaf?' she thought.
Skye turned her whole body and faced her fully.
"Can I ask you a question?" She started with a smile etched on her face. The woman didn't replied a yes but she still asked her though. "Did we met before ? Cause you look familiar to me." she said.
The woman just remained silent that Skye started to think she really was deaf or she just doesn't care about her. It took a while but the woman muttered a firm 'No.' As she took a sipped on her coffee again not even tried to look at her direction.
Skye's mouth open and she closed it again not sure what to say next. This woman is giving her hard time.
She tried to asked her again. Maybe she would remember her this time.
"Is that so? Cause you really look like the person who save from a bad guy about four days ago. On the alley?" she asked, patiently waiting for her.
The woman just remained silent but Skye still waited for her to say something. But a minute passed and there was no reply from her.
Skye sighed. Maybe that's it. That's her cue to stop whatever she was doing. The woman clearly won't talk to her. She was just embarrassing herself. It doesn't mean the woman helped her, she would be interested in her life, which is clearly is not.
Skye got off on her stall not even minding her coffee anymore and just turned around to go back to her friends with a quite saddened face. She was about to walk towards them when she saw Dean smirked again and shake his head before he turned his head away from her.
And because that, Skye unexpectedly turned back to the woman again with determination on her face.
'Just a kiss on the cheek.' she said before she walk near her and quickly kiss her on her left check. She doesn't mind if she will receive a slap later.
But her world and mind stop when the supposed kiss on the cheek was landed on a soft lips instead, when the woman suddenly turned her head at her.
It was just quick but it's enough to get them both in shocked.
"I'm s-sorry. I'm so so sorry." she frantically said as she stared on the shocked woman in front of her.
The woman then accidentally spilled the cup of her coffee on the table. It caught both of their attention and as well as the other costumers and the cashier.
"Are you okay, Miss Violet?" the cashier asked but the woman didn't talked but rather stood up and hurriedly ran towards the door and outside the diner.
"Wait!" Skye tried to stop her but she didn't.
She then ran and followed her outside but she was too late as the car where the woman got in just got out from the parking lot and hurriedly drive away.
Skye sighed and scoffed.
'You're so stupid, Skye ' she said to herself and as she stand there outside.
She doesn't what to do or what will happen next. The only thing she was sure of is she can butterflies in her stomach.
