Skye suddenly woke up with a heavy breathing. She sat up as her sweats were dripping down on her forehead as well as on her arms. She frantically looked left and right as if the beast that she have seen last night was there, but she found nothing. In fact, she's in her room, safe and sound.
So it was just a dream, a nightmare rather.
She tried to calm herself down as she firmly closed her eyes. 'It's just a dream. It's just a dream.' she kept telling herself. Her hands were trembling so does her body and It feels like she's gonna puke anytime.
"Hey."
Skye open her eyes and a worried Maddie came to her. She sat down on the side of the bed and held her hands."Are you okay?" She said, while caressing her back. She then tucked Skye's hair on her ear. Wiping her sweats with her hands.
"I'm okay." Skye said in a weakened voice.
"It's just a dream." Maddie calmly said. Helping her to even her breathing. "Just breath okay?" She nodded and Skye nodded.
"Do you want me to get a water for you?" Maddie asked and was about to stand up.
"No... It's okay." Skye replied, and then just she face-palmed.
When her breathing goes back to normal she take a look at her surrounding. Her room was quiet and a little messy. It's already 6 in the morning. She's been sleeping for about 10 hours. It's quite long but it's nothing compared to how long it was on her dream. She dreamt about the beast again. It was chasing her and it feels like she's been running around the forest for many days.
She stared at Maddie when she remembers something.
"Where's Levi? Did he find him? She asked.
"Yes, he did. He was already at his home." Maddie replied."Nothing happened to him, Skye. He didn't see what you saw. He's safe. You have nothing to worry about." She added when Skye was still waiting for her to know if his condition.
"There is something to worry about , Maddie. And I've seen it last night." Skye argued. She was somewhat relieved to know that the boy was safe. But she is still anxious about the lurking beast.
"Skye."
Skye ignored Maddie and stood up from the bed. Her legs are feeling weak she nearly fall if she didn't sat back again.
"Skye! Are you okay?" Maddie hurriedly went to her.
"I'm fine."
"I think you need to-"
"I'm fine." Skye said firmly, interrupting Maddie's sentence. "I'm just gonna take a shower. " She added before standing up when she made sure her legs were a bit stable.
She then went to the bathroom and lock the door without saying a word. Leaving a worried Maddie on the bed.

(10: 38 am)
"Okay kids. Class dismissed." Abby declared in the room.
"Thank you Miss Abby." The kids said in unison as they clean their respective desk. They closed their books and papers then put it inside their bags.
"Don't forget about your assignment okay? Answer it well. Don't just copy with the others. Are we clear?" Abby asked as she cleaned her desk too.
"Yes Miss Abby." The kids replied and stood up.
"And don't go anywhere else cause we will be having our lunch later. Please, don't give me a hard time looking for you again before I can eat my lunch." She said feighning sad.
"Yes Miss Abby." The kids replied again and some of them giggled at what their teachers said. They get their bags and stood up. Then one by one, they go out on the room.
"See you later, Miss Abby." Sadie, the last student on the line said to her with a smile.
"You too, Sadie." She replied before the girl got out in the room.
When all the kids have left, Abby cleaned the whole room for the afternoon class.
This room was actually a music room before. Abby's most favorite place in the mansion as she loves music. But when Violet decided to homeschooled all the children on the pack, they chose this place and renovated it into a classroom while they transferred the music room at the upper floor close to her room.
The pack didn't disagree about Violet's sudden decision. In fact, they were pleased to know because they also didn't want their children to be exposed to people if there will be a time that they can't control themselves. It is safe if they are just within the close proximity. And because Abby was actually a teacher, she resigned in the school and chose to be their full time teacher both for the kids and the teens.
She teaches them from Mondays to Saturdays. The kids in the morning and the teens in the afternoon. While the Sunday is their training day. Nicolai, the member of the pack that also assisted on their trainings before was the one who trained them now.
When Abby finished, she fixes her clothes and decided to go out in the room. She's heading to the kitchen. Her second favorite place. Everyday when her morning class ended, she helped Mary in preparing their lunch.
"Hey Mary." She greeted when she arrives at the kitchen. This place was wider than an ordinary kitchen in a house. It has a high ceiling with chandeliers. It has a long kitchen island on the center and a few wide windows on the other side of the wall.
"What's for lunch? " She asked.
Mary is their helper in the mansion and she also cook for them. But she does not belong to the pack because she is actually a human. A human who knows about their kind.
She is a widow with two beautiful daughters who also help her in cleaning the mansion. They lived in the town center before but when her husband died they were kicked out at their place and Violet took them in. And in exchange for that, she volunteered to be a helper to the mansion.
"Chicken Fried steaks with pesto cream." Mary replied with a smile. "And I made a salad". she added as she put the last ingredient on the salad that she was making.
"Oooohh. Looks delicious." Abby commented while watching.
"There you are!" Abby turned her attention at the door when she heard Emett, her husband.
"I've been looking for you." he said while walking towards her. "My boss called. There was an emergency."
Abby huffed and muttered."As usual."
"Oh Honey, please don't be like that. I'll promise I'll be home as soon as it's done." Emett said, convincing her wife.
"Okay." Abby instantly replied. Not totally upset anymore. And Mary laughed at her sudden mood changes.
"That's my girl." Emett said before she gave his wife a quick kiss on the lips. "Sophia's on her room by the way."
Abby was about to reply when a grumpy Violet entered the kitchen. She was talking with someone on the phone. It looks like they having an argument. She's so invested on the conversation that she just walk past Abby and Emett. She placed her half emptied plate on the sink before going out on the kitchen. Still in a sour mood.

"Skye, what are you doing?" Maddie asked when she entered Skye's room.
Her younger sister is packing her clothes back to her bags. Some of it were getting a little wet by the droplets from her uncombed wet hair but she doesn't care.
"I'm packing." Skye replied, stating the obvious ."And you should too." She added.
Maddie took a deep breath.
"Skye." She calmly called her.
"I'm serious Maddie. It's not safe here." Her younger sister replied raising her voice a little more.
"Skye," Maddie called her again and walk towards her. "I know you're scared, but you shouldn't be. We're totally safe here ." she said trying to convince her sister from leaving.
"Safe?" Skye countered back facing her older sister. She laugh humorlessly before she speak again. "Are you serious? Did you see how big that animal is, Maddie? It's so freaking huge. Just imagine that if a normal sized wolf is dangerous, how much more a wolf that's bigger than a regular sized horse? You know what? I can't even imagine it." She ranted and got back into packing.
"Would you please calm down ?" Maddie tried to calm her down even if herself can't contain her calm demeanor because of her sister's sudden decision.
"If you think I can stay here any longer, you're wrong. I'll go back home where it is safe. And don't ever think I'm letting myself leave without you, Maddie. Cause I will not." Skye said.
"I'm sorry but we can't stay here. You can have your wedding anywhere else and live any place you want but not here, Maddie." She added when Maddie didn't say anything.
Maddie just looked at what her sister is doing. She grew silent as she thought. Stress was evident on her face as she is also lack of sleep . She really hates arguing with her sister. Even though she can have the final decision as she is the older one, she doesn't want to upset Skye.
She took a deep breath and decided to talk. "The authorities are on it." she said.
Skye stopped what she was doing and face her sister again. "What?" she asked, utterly confused.
"We reported it to police. And they are on it." Maddie answered much clearer.
"They believe it?" Skye asked, hoping that they will believe her and for what she saw.
"I don't know. But we tried explaining it to them." Maddie replied.
"And then what?" Skye urgently asked, eager to know what they said and what their gonna do about it.
"They said they had it under control." Her older sister replied.
Skye didn't know what to say. 'Really? Under control? What will they do?' she thought. They better be doing some hunting if they needed to.
"So can you stop what you're doing now?" Maddie asked her but it was more of a command.
"What? Why? " Skye asked her too.
"Skye, I will not stop you from leaving okay? Just calm down. You can go. But not until we have an update about it from the police." Maddie said trying to persuade her sister. Even half of what she said was a lie.
"If they found it or not, that's when we decide what we will do. But from now on, let's stay." she added.
She saw on Skye's face that she was somehow buying the idea. But she doesn't know if she agrees because she's not saying anything.
"Is that okay with you, Skye?" she calmly asked her, patiently waiting for her to talk.
Skye sat down on the bed before she finally nodded her head. It brought a relief to Maddie. Their plan must work or else she will be having a hard decision. She then took a deep breath about it.
"Why don't you go downstairs. I prepared lunch for you. You should eat." Maddie said. Breaking the silence in the room.
"I'm not hungry." Skye answered nonchalantly.
"But you haven't eaten since last night. You better take some food."
"But I'm not really hungry, Maddie. Don't worry about me." Skye said and looked at her sister. Maddie look tired. Maybe from the lack of sleep or from the argument that they had.
"Why don't you get some sleep? Look at yourself." Skye said, worried for her too. "You know you don't need to stay up all night just to take care of me. I'm not a child anymore." she added with a frowned.
"I will. If you eat first."
"Maddie." Skye whined.
"Will you just eat some? So that I can rest." Maddie argued, clearly annoyed to her sister's stubbornness.
"Fine." Skye replied and stood up. She walk towards the door and got out in the room, leaving Maddie again. Who was desperately hoping that the plan she made will work out.
