A few minutes before darkness completely covers the whole sky, a black sedan with tinted windows was slowly driving along the Brooklane street. Where there's no even a single person that was roaming or walking outside since all of them probably preparing their dinner. When Violet have reached the all too familiar house, she carefully parked the car , that she just borrowed, on the other side of the road. She stop the engine and just sat there on the passenger seat as she glances towards Skye's house. The lights on the house were all lit up. It was already twelve minutes before six in the evening. It's almost time for Skye's departure as what Abby have told her. (Earlier at eight in the morning) "Knock, knock." Violet lifted her head up from the table and glared at her red headed friend who interrupted her day dreaming. It was the second time that she's not aware that Abby was approaching towards her office. Even though she left her door wide open, she still didn't hear her. Actually, she didn't hear all the noise in the entire mansion as she sat and rest her head on her desk. She wasn't even sleeping at all. Her dreamy eyes were open and were staring at the huge window but all she sees is the images of her mate. And all she can hear is her voice. And all she can remember is her lovely and irresistible scent. And most of all, the intense kiss they had. Violet felt exhausted, not because of the walking she did yesterday but because of how she restrain herself ,especially her inner wolf, from kissing Skye. It was so draining. She can't even rest well since the girl kept invading her mind. She actually got up really early and took a run but it didn't help a bit. Running in the mountains just remind her the hug they have shared. So she decided to go back to the mansion and busy herself with paperworks in her office. But still it doesn't help at all. No matter what she did, she can't take off Skye on her thoughts. Her inner wolf was longing for her and her body wanted her. She is so down bad fo her. She made a mistake of thinking that rejecting a mate would be so damn easy. But she was so wrong. "Are you okay?" Abby asked, interrupting her line of thoughts. "Yeah." Was Violet's short and cold reply before she continued working. She grab one of the paper and started to read but she just look at it blankly. She heard Abby walk away from the door after closing it and sat on her couch, facing her direction. "Did you already eat breakfast? Do you want me to get some for you?" Abby asked again. "No." Violet replied before she grab another piece of paper again. Abby just stared at her. Carefully eyeing her every move and wait for her to talk even though she wouldn't talk to her obviously. But Abby remained calm as she knew what will get her attention. She crossed her legs and arms and slowly leaned back on the couch before she speaks. "I have talk to Skye just fifteen minutes ago. I called her to know how was she." She started and Violet immediately stop for moment. Abby subtly smirked. Violet didn't say a thing, so she continued. "She said she's fine but I think her sister didn't take it easy." She said. She then sighed deep before she tell the news to her. "They had an argument which led for her sister saying that it will be better for her if she will go back to the city." She added. And Violet's hand stop midway from garbbing the next paper. Her forehead scrunched as she looked at her Bestfriend. "What do you mean?". Violet asked. "Of course that meant she will leave this town and go back to the city. Duh." Abby replied, rolling her eyes lightly. That was a lie. What she said was a lie but it's a good way for her to make sure that Violet would go to the dinner. The difference is, the latter wouldn't know what she's up to. "She will leave tonight I guess. " Abby continued. Violet looked away from her and just stared blankly at nothing particularly as she thinks. "And don't ask me if she will come back cause I don't know." She quickly added. Violet turned quiet for a few seconds. She clenches her jaw as she can't help to feel the aching on her heart about the information. But she shouldn't be sad about it."I don't care if she comes back or not." She said a little frustrated, frustrated on the fact that Skye will leave her. She took a deep breath before she stood up and left the room without even saying something. Leaving the Abby who is grinning widely. She knew her tactic will be successful. She's confident that Violet will be at the dinner.
