The auburn haired girl clumsily put the glass back down on the small wooden table that she placed beside the chair she sat on after she took her tenth shot. What she have done causes the bottle of vodka to trip and fall on the balcony floor. Spilling it's contents as it rolled and stop nearly at the corner of the cabin's balcony.
"Shit." Skye cursed.
She wiped the remnants of the alcohol on her lip before she pushes herself up. But not without a tight hold at the arm chair as she tried to keep her self steady. Her eyelids were starting to droop and her surroundings felt like twirling around but she just close her eyes and shook her head lightly before she walk towards where the bottle is.
Skye took a slow steps as she kept her balance and tried not to fall. When she successfully arrived at the corner of the balcony, she hold onto the railings before she carefully crouch down and grab the bottle with her right hand. Then she stood back up and leaned her back towards the railings with her right hand as the other one is clutching her bottle of vodka in her chest. Hugging it like it was the most important thing for her tight now. She stood like that for a moment before she held up the bottle.
"It's good to see you again, buddy." She said, foolishly grinning at it.
Almost half of the contents were turned to waste but Skye felt lucky that there was still a little left. Maybe for a two shots of glass. But the idea of glass instantly erased when Skye chugged down the remaining.
The burning sensation of the alcohol flows down on her throat as she drank all of it's content. Skye doesn't mind it though. Being this intoxicated kept her mind detached from reality. It makes her anger for her father dissipate for a while. And most importantly, it relieves the pain that she felt.
Skye clumsily wiped her mouth again using the sleeve of her sweatshirt when she's done drinking. The bottle is now empty. And all she did was stared blankly ahead as she slowly let go of the bottle in her hand. Making it fall to the floor with a thud.
Skye hated it so much everytime her father brought up her mother to their conversation, especially in an argument. But her father was right. Her mother always wanted what's the best for her. And there she is. Keeping herself away from it.
But the how can she fulfill it if the person that always made her felt that she was the best was long gone now. Only the pain and sadness remains.
Maybe that's the disadvantage to a person who didn't fully moved on. A mere mention of their beloved brought an aching to their hearts. Scratch that. She hadn't really moved on. She can't. And she will not.
Skye slowly turned around and hold onto the railings. Drunkenness was fully affecting her now. She felt dizzy and all but there's a small grin flastered on her face as she stared down at the inviting water of the lake.
The place looks nice in the afternoon time. The sunlight that is reflecting on the water looks ethereal. And the smell of the trees and water made her body relax. She was glad Vanessa let her come here everytime she wanted.
The docked underneath suddenly caught her attention. She doesn't really know what got in her but she turned and slowly walk towards the stairs at the far corner of the cabin, which led to the docked.
Skye giggled at herself everytime she got stumbled. But luckily, she always managed to not fall especially on the stairs. She's just like that. Swaying and giggling as she continue to walk. But it only took her about five minutes when she successfully arrived at the docked. She took off her shoes one by one. She struggles but she still managed.
Skye walked barefoot towards the end of the docked. She just wanted to sit there and dip her feet. Just to feel the water on her skin for a while. So she tried to sit down. But it looks like not only her feet wanted to feel the water but her whole body too as she lost her balance and she fell to the water.
-------------------------------------------------------
Skye started to learn how to swim when her mother enrolled her to a swimming class when she was only seven. She's one of the best student in that class since she learned fast. And even it was fourteen years ago, Skye still vividly remembered how their instructor teach them how to swim.
But in this moment, it's like the water washes away the memories of it as she struggles to swim. It didn't cross her mind to blame it on the alcohol cause she is so drunk. So drunk that even the water can't totally sober her up.
But somehow life was still good to her when a pair of hands grab her and kept her head above the surface. She coughed hard as the person that save her drag her towards the land.
Skye landed on all fours when they reach the sand, still coughing. Her head get more dizzy. But when the cough died down, instead of complaining, she just laughed hard.
She laughed as she carefully but lazily stood up. But that laughed was cut short when a pair of hands grab both of her arms when she was about to stumbled.
The auburn haired girl's drooping eyes shoot up and stared at the all too familiar eyes. Blueish grey. Skye gasped.
"Violet?" She quietly asked, titling her head a little.
The brunette just stared back at her. There was a hint of anger on her face but the other one is oblivious to it. Violet hold her just a little tight since she doesn't want to hurt her mate.
Violet was about to scold her when Skye's hands suddenly caress both of her cheeks, which surprised her.
"Am I dreaming?" Skye said as she tilted her head again to the side and looking confused. Violet find her cute despite of her slurry voice.
"But you look so fuckin'real." Her mate quietly said in a husky voice. Looking intently at her.
Violet's body instantly heat up. Not only because of how hot her mate is when saying the "F" word and not just because of her sexy voice but also because of her hands on her face and her breath that's fanning over Violet's face. The close proximity is too much for Violet. She could easily give in and devour her. But she stop herself and gathered her strength before she could do things that she will regret later. So she carefully took the hands that's on her face. And hold it tight as she took a deep breath.
"Don't leave me." Skye suddenly said. And Violet's attention was back to her again. There's sadness in her eyes as she said those words to her. Even if she chuckled afterwards. "Don't even try." She added with a smile that doesn't reach her eyes.
"You might think I'm not thinking of you since it's been.. I don't how long .. but I can't forget those beautiful eyes." Skye continued as she stared at her two orbs.
Violet is like in a trance as she stared back at her mate's two gorgeous amber eyes. It's like there was something pulling her towards her mate. But despite of the strong effect her mate had on her, she still managed to closed her eyes hard. Stoping her self for a thousand times.
'Stop it, Violet.' She keeps repeating on her mind like a mantra. And when she thought she's ready to pull herself away, she opened her eyes.
Skye was still openly staring at her as she smirked. Violet had no time to get confused on her mate's suspicious grin when Skye hold both of her cheek and pulled her closer.....closer until their lips connect to each other.
