Chapter 32 : The revelation.

"Are you sure she's coming over?"
Skye lifted her head and glanced at her sister in front of her who was busy preparing the table. She stood by the kitchen island and just finished placing the chocolate muffins, that she begged to her sister to bake again, on a medium size white box.
"Yeah. Her Bestfriend said she'll be here at six." She replied as she carefully put the lid of the box and covered the delicious desserts that'll be all for Abby. Since she had promise the woman that she will give her some chocolate muffins.
"I can't believe it either that she'll agreed. But Abby was so sure she'll come."she continued before she took a step back and admire the box of muffins on the top of the kitchen island.
"Abby? Do you mean her Bestfriend?" Maddison asked before she took the large plate of roasted chicken on the top of the island beside the white box and carefully placed it on the vacant space on the table.
"Hmmm." Skye responded, nodding her head even though her sister's back was facing her.
"Okay, I think it's all set." Maddison said looking at the table set up in front of her. "The only thing missing is the guest. I hope she'll come." She added glancing back at her sister, pursing her lips.
Skye sighed and walk around the kitchen island. She frowned when she look at the foods on the table. Her sister cooked some double-smoked salmon, flat iron steak with potatoes, beef steak wellington, roasted chicken and a vegetable salad. Which are definitely delicious.
"Isn't this too much?" She asked, also questioning her sister's table setting. It looks like they're in a restaurant. But somehow it was still okay. Violet is an expensive person. So her sister tried to make the dinner an elegant one. She even convinced her and Levi to wear some nice clothes. She opted to wear a dark gray button up shirt tucked in her pants. While her sister wears a plain apricot colored sleeveless dress that ends just by her knees.
"Well, I didn't know what she wanted so I cooked some foods for her to choose." Maddison said, fixing the spoon that was placed differently than the others. "I really hope she'll come or else the three of us will eat this all." She chuckled lightly and glanced at her sister. Her eyebrow immediately perked up and her face turned serious when saw Skye. She stared blankly at the table while nibbling her lips. She absentmindedly kept wiping her hands on her pants.
"Are you okay?" She asked and Skye stop and look at her.
"Oh. Yeah." She said, a little unsure. She doesn't know why but she feel nervous. This will be the first time that they will eat dinner together. And the first time that Maddison will meet her.
The two ladies attention were suddenly caught by the person who quietly just entered the kitchen's doorway, Levi. He's wearing a black polo shirt and a light gray slacks. He was the last one to shower and change. Skye can even smell her aftershave. And she also admits that he look nice.
"Wow, you never failed to amaze me everyday Mr. Handsome." Maddison suddenly commented, she had a dreamy look on her face. And Levi just looked at her with a smirked. Skye wanted to gagged at their way they stare at each other. Don't get her wrong, they are a great couple and they do look cute together but it's so awkward and it wasn't nice for Skye to see her sister staring at him a little seductively.
"Okay. Have your time lovers. I'll just wait for our guest outside." She said and quickly got out on the kitchen. She is walking through the hallway when she got a text. She took her phone out on the back pocket of her jeans and read the message. It was from Abby and it says 'She's already there.'
Skye suddenly stop in her tracks. She felt more nervous now. She wanted to punch herself for reacting this way. It's not like she'll propose to her. She kept telling herself that she will just meet her outside and have dinner with her, that's all. But on the other hand, she's not blaming herself if she felt that way. Cause she can't deny her huge crush on her.
Another text came and it was still from Abby. She texted what car was Violet is using and it's plate number, saying that in case the woman won't have the balls to come out. Skye lightly chuckled on that before she calm herself down and took a deep breath.
She eventually walk towards the door and opened. She immediately greeted by the cold night air as she got out. She the let the door open and walk down to the front yard while looking ahead trying to find Violet's car. There's no car that parked on their yard. But luckily her eyes caught a black sedan on the other side. She slowly walk towards it, while trying to check the plate number. She was already on the road when she confirmed that it was the car that Abby was saying.
Violet is here but indeed she didn't go out. Kudos to Abby, she knows her friend very well. But Skye can't to think the reason why. Violet is most confident woman she ever know. Maybe she just didn't really wanted to attend the dinner. But no matter what the reason is, the dinner shall continue still or else her sister would nagged at her.
Skye sighed and crossed on the road. She slowly stop in front of the driver's side before she knock twice the car's window.
