The news that Josey was missing blurred Cofer's vision to the point where he could only see red. He had to see her parents. He flew faster than he had ever flown. The one person tethering him to his sanity was out there with people doing who knows what to her. He arrived at Josey's manor within the hour. When he got to the door, the assistant appeared.
Cofer spoke before the assistant could inquire about his purpose, "Let me in, now".
The assistant disappeared then Sauti opened the door, out of breath. He fell to his knees.
"Your Majesty!" Cofer walked past Sauti. He wanted to talk to them together.
He found Freda sitting in the dining room in silence.
