In the space, in between spaces, the heat was brutal. The air was dry and seemed to be flowing from the ground upwards. Though the distance between portals was short, the sight of just the outskirts of Hell was petrifying. Arms with stubbled hands reached out of the ground towards dark thunderous skies. Every other area had an eye or pair eyes frantically seeking salvation. Cofer led them quickly to the next portal. They came out in the caverns under the palace in Wilshana. The area was faintly lit. Any step in the wrong direction would put you in absolute darkness.
