Brie’s P.O.V

When we landed on the ground I knew that my body was able to take it and that Depp would stop me from getting hurt, but I still felt like I was on fire and it was only getting worse. He placed me on my feet and the whole time I was trying to think of cold thoughts, hoping they would help me cool down. I thought of icebergs, ice, snow, hell I even thought of being a mermaid and swimming in the cold ocean at one point, but nothing worked and I was just getting hotter. Olive kept saying that I was about to shift, but surely I would have heard them talking to me in my head by now, right? I hadn’t and I couldn’t understand why? Did I have a block up or had I put a wall up or something? Was that the reason I couldn’t hear them or they couldn’t talk to me? I tried my best to clear my mind as much as I could and it felt like a dam suddenly broke in me, letting everything come to the surface. Holy s**t, they were there and every one of them was screaming at me.

“HEY GUYS, I CAN HEAR YOU NOW SO STOP SCREAMING AT ME!!! I’M SORRY ALRIGHT, I DIDN’T KNOW I HAD PUT A WALL UP!!!” I yelled over there screaming in my head and they stopped screaming. I could hear hushed whispers in my head and it seemed as though they were trying to decide which one was going to speak to me first.

“Hello, my human. My name is Samantha and I am the bear side of you. We are all sorry, we didn’t mean to yell at you, but we have been trying to speak to you for weeks now. We have been trying to warn you that you were going to be shifting soon and well, here we are. I’m glad he got you outside because we would have destroyed that room. I know that I told Olive that we weren’t going to shift today, but I think that when we all tried to talk to you it caused the shift to happen earlier than planned.” The one I now know as Samantha said, but then I started to feel even hotter than I already was.

“You need to let our mate help you, it's the only way for you to get through this, he will know what to do.” Samantha said and then everything went silent in my head. Everyone around me was talking to me and Depp was trying to say something to me, but I couldn’t hear him. I couldn’t hear anything as the heat in my body increased so much that I felt like my clothes were on fire, burning off my skin.

Depp’s P.O.V

As soon as we were outside Brie stood there on shaky legs, but she seemed more in a daze than before and I knew right away what she was doing. She was talking to one or all of them inside her. I admit that I was a tiny bit jealous of her being able to shift into all these creatures, but I also wanted to see what they were and if the seer was right about everything she had said she would be. I stood next to her and I was talking to her, but it was like she couldn’t hear me and then she let out an ear piercing scream and I knew that it was starting. She was shifting.

Brie’s P.O.V

I tried to think cool thoughts again, not that it worked the first time, but then it happened. Both of my arms started to break and shift, contorting into thin arms, causing me to fall to the floor and scream out in pain and then my legs broke and started growing into weird abnormal thin looking things. My head started to bulge out, growing bigger and bigger, then my ears grew wider and longer to match the size of my head. I felt as the skin from my back stretched and latched onto my arms, wrapping around them and taking on the shape of huge rubbery wings. When the shift was finally done I slowly got up and looked around at everyone, only to watch them take a few steps away from me.

“Why are you moving away from me?” I tried to say, but all that came out of my mouth was a loud screeching noise, which caused everyone to cover their ears.

Depp’s P.O.V

Brie’s head grew to the size of a small puppy and even looked like one too, but then her wings grew and she was huge. She had black fur or rather fluff on parts of her body and her wings were huge. Then she started screeching and it even scared the hell out of me, but it made the others step away from her and it aggravated Holler that they were abandoning her.

“Brie, are you okay, can you hear me?” I said, mind-linking her, but before I could get an answer, I felt pain shoot through my whole body and I knew that it wasn’t my pain, it was Brie’s.

“Oh please, she’s just a huge bat, she’s not scary at all, she’s our mate and queen.” Holler growled in my head, but just as he said that Brie started to shift again. It was obvious that once she had started shifting she wouldn’t be able to stop until every one of her creatures was free.

Brie’s P.O.V

I started to shift again, but this time it hurt a hell of a lot more. My arms and legs broke again, then contorted to a new thicker shape, causing me to fall onto all fours on the ground. My head shrunk down to normal size, but then grew again, just not as big as the last time and my mouth and jaw started to elongate a little, then white whiskers shot out of my face. The skin on my back retracted back to my spine, but then it shifted and grew down into a long tail. Fur sprouted all over my body and as the shift finished I let out a loud roar, causing everyone to back up even further, all except Depp, who stood as close to me as he could. Everyone immediately bowed down to me, but I couldn’t focus on them because I was in too much pain.

“STOP THIS!! PLEASE!! STOP THIS!! I CAN’T TAKE ANY MORE PAIN!!! STOP THIS PLEASE!!! PLEASE MAKE IT END!!!” I screamed out in my mind, but just as the pain eased a little it started up again and I started shifting for the third time. I suddenly started to get bigger and wider, my feet and hands grew huge thick claws and my ears shrunk down a bit. My snout got longer and my teeth grew bigger as well. I finally finished shifting and stood up on my back paws, looking down at everyone as I roared out, making them all cower and bow again. Depp was trying to take the pain from me and although he didn’t take it fully he helped ease it a little and I was so grateful, but then pain shot through me once again as I started shifting for the fourth time.

“AHHHHH!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!! MAKE IT STOP!!! f*****g KILL ME AND MAKE IT f*****g STOP!!!!” I screamed out and everyone heard me this time.

Depp’s P.O.V

First she had turned into a huge bat with massive rubbery wings, then a beautiful jaguar with silver and gold eyes and silky black fur, then a huge brown bear and now she was shifting again. I knew that she was in too much pain, so I tried holding her hand to take the pain away, but I could only take a little bit of it, not all of it. I wanted so badly to take all her pain away, but I couldn’t and there was only one other thing I could think of that might help her.

“Holler, if she has a wolf or lycan in her, then try to take that pain. Try to ease her pain, please Holler.” I said, pleading with him.

“I’m trying to, I can smell her wolf's scent very faintly, but it's there. I’ll try to talk to her wolf to ease her pain.” Holler replied and I could hear him talking to Brie’s wolf. I just hoped and prayed that this worked.

Brie’s P.O.V

I wasn’t getting enough of a break or rest between shifting and I could feel my mind and body becoming weaker every time I started to shift. This was going to end up killing me. My mouth elongated even more, then my legs and arms broke, taking a new shape and causing me to fall on all fours again. My spine grew longer and turned into a tail, then my ears got bigger and more alert. After I was finished with the last shift I lifted my head and looked around before howling into the sky. This was the last one, this was the last shift and I was now done. That’s what the seer said, she said I would become a cat, a bear, a vampire and a wolf, so that's all of them, right? No, that’s not right. The seer said I would shift into a bear, a cat, a vampire and a lycan, but I just turned into a wolf, does that mean…..

“AHHHHHHH!!!! NO!!! I CAN’T!!! PLEASE I CAN’T!!! IT’S TOO MUCH!!! THE PAIN IS TOO MUCH!!!!” I screamed out, as I started shifting again. My legs extended, while my arms turned muscular and then my front paws turned into huge hands with claws shooting out. I got bigger and bigger, my back broader and my face bulged out even more as my teeth grew longer and sharper. My feet got bigger and the tail I had shortened a little, but not much. My ears grew longer and stood on end as the sounds of everything around me shot into them and almost deafened me. I stood on my legs, almost like a human in this form, but I knew that I was now my lycan. I looked around at everyone and to my surprise they all shifted into their lycans and bowed to me, then we all howled into the sky. When all the howling stopped they all shifted back and everyone looked at me to see what was going to happen next. I honestly hoped that there were no more because I couldn’t take the pain or the stress on my mind and body, it was exhausting and way too much for one person to handle, but then it started happening again. Pain shot through me once more as my bones broke and cracked, dislocating and repositioning themselves, but instead of me shifting into another creature, I was now back in my human form. I couldn’t take anymore, my body gave up as I fell to the ground and was consumed by darkness.

Depp’s P.O.V

Brie had shifted into the most beautiful wolf I had ever seen and it was huge with silver and white fur, but her eyes were pink and they were so captivating. I was a little confused though because the seer never mentioned a wolf, she mentioned a bear, a vampire, a cat and a lycan, but no wolf. Brie howled long and loudly into the sky, then suddenly she screamed out in pain again and started shifting. I thought she was going to shift back into her human form, but instead she shifted into her lycan and Goddess I was shocked. She was a pure white lycan with eyes as white as snow and she was beautiful. She looked around at everyone and we all shifted into our lycans, then bowed to her and howled into the sky once more. I shifted back into my human form and grabbed a pair of shorts before turning around to look at her again. She started shifting again, but this time when she tried to scream out nothing happened because her voice was broken from all the screaming and pain she was in. she shifted back into her human form and looked right at me before passing out from all the pain she’d had to endure. I caught her before she hit the ground and lifted her up into my arms, then ran as fast as I could to the pack hospital. I burst through the doors and as soon as Doctor Glaser saw her, he gasped.

“In here, now.” Doctor Glaser ordered and I quickly followed him into a room. I laid her down on the bed and Doctor Glaser got to work hooking her up to a heart monitor and then put two IV’s into her arm.

“What the hell happened, Depp?” Clyde asked me, still checking Brie over.

“She shifted tonight, but it wasn’t just once. She shifted into every single one of her creatures, all five of them and when she shifted back to human her body gave out and she collapsed. What are we going to do? I can’t lose her, not now, not ever.” I said, but Doctor Glaser shook his head as he finished his examination.

“I don’t know, my king, only she can do this. She is the only one that can come out of this, but she will need to want to come back. Even though she trained harder and got stronger, I’m afraid that it was still too much for her body. Wait, you said five. You said that she shifted into five creatures, what were they?” Doctor Glaser asked, looking confused.

“She shifted into a huge bat first, which was her vampire, then a bear and a Jaguar, then she shifted into a wolf, but the last one she shifted into was a lycan. Why?” I asked, curious as to what he was thinking.

“She was born a quartbrid, but then you said that she shifted into five creatures, it seems to me that she was born having a wolf, bear, cat and vampire, but when you marked and mated with her, it caused her to have a lycan as well, which would mean that she’s a….no, it can’t be….she’s a pentabrid or otherwise known as a quinabrid. She is extremely rare.” Doctor Glaser said, shocking me. I knew that Brie was special, she was everything, especially to me, but to know that she is so rare that I have never even heard of it before, shocked me. We both looked down at Brie and sighed, then I grabbed the chair in the corner of the room, put it next to her bed and took a seat.

“Depp, go home, you can’t do anything for her right now. When she wakes up I’ll let you know.” Doctor Glaser said, but I shook my head.

“I’m not going anywhere, if there is work to do then let Beta Johnny know to bring it here, but I am not leaving her side. I know that there are showers here and an extra bed, so make sure you bring one inside this room for me because I’m not going anywhere.” I replied and Clyde nodded.

“Yes, my king, as you wish.” Doctor Glaser said and quickly left the room. A few minutes later two men came in with a bed and set it up next to Brie’s.

“If there is any work that needs doing or needs signing then make sure you bring it to the pack hospital, I’m not leaving Brie’s side. I’ll do it here, is that clear?” I said, mind-linking my Beta.

“Yes, my king, let me know when she wakes up.” Johnny replied and I ended the link, not once taking my eyes off Brie. She was put through so much stress and her body went through a lot. I hope she wakes up soon, but I also know that she needs the rest, especially after what she has been through. I didn’t, no I couldn’t and wouldn’t be without her. Is this what love is all about? I had only just found her and if I lost her then I would most definitely go insane. I can’t lose her.
