Malakai’s POV
Being this close to her was a bad idea. I can barely keep up with what Adonis, Zaire, and Damari are talking about. Every time I look at her, she’s already staring back.
“It was great to see you guys; I’m going to head out for the night,” I told them, needing to get out of here before my Dragon, Orion, forced me over to her.
I started going down the stairs when I could feel Marina following me. No! Why is she doing this? It was hard enough being up there with her when we weren’t alone. I can’t imagine any more one-on-one contact with her.
Then again, maybe she just wants to make sure we're on the same page. I’ll be quick because I don’t think I could control myself around her for extended periods of time.
