I turned and headed out of the dungeons, nodding at the two guards by the door. I stopped a nurse making her rounds to get some food sent to Anthony. I thanked her quickly then hurried to Duncan’s room where a nurse was busy unhooking his tubes and needles.
“That feels so much better,” Duncan sighed happily and wiggled his arms. “I couldn’t move my arms around much with those things in.”
“There you are Duncan,” The nurse said with a smile as she in clipped the last monitor wire. “You’re free!”
“Thank you!” He said with a huge smile.
“Just take it easy like the doctor says and you’ll be good as new,” she said. “Welcome home, consort Duncan.”
“It’s the only place I want to be,” he said.
