I wasn’t sure how long I sat with my eyes closed and lost in my thoughts. I thought about the first time I had seen Chloevanna in the clearing. She was beautiful as she danced in the moonlight or look of determination when she was working on a spell. She had become powerful all on her own with only a worn old book to learn from.
