Hands in marriage.

“What bullshit are you talking about grandpa?” Hector inquired, and he did not appear to be really interested in his grandfather’s statements. Currently. All that Hector could think about was getting down the video that was posted online and he was ready to make the lives of all those reporters that he spotted front of the hotel door to become miserable. Hector had no sympathy for them because he believes they understood exactly what they were doing while asking absurd questions. “Why do I get the impression that you don’t want to follow my word’s?” Hector’s grandfather had to ask him because Hector was still staring at him with a peaceful gaze, and his grandfather knew deep down that Hector was praying for him to leave his mansion. Hector breathed out. “Do you remember that I want to get married to Ivy next week? I can’t marry two different women at the same time. It simply won’t feel right.” His granddad smirked with delight after hearing Hector’s statement. “That’s why I still think you should marry the woman you slept with at the hotel. Her family members are Keegan, and that would be to your advantage because you would have to be the one to tell them what you require for this marriage. All you have to tell the media is that you and the lady from Keegan were in a secret relationship and that you were the one who invited the reporter’s to the hotel room.” His grandfather took a moment to observe his grandson’s expression. Hector was getting more intrigued, which was a good thing. His grandfather was still upset that a controversy (scandal) was being held against his grandson, but the truth was that he couldn’t turn back time. The video of Hector on the news would make different shareholders in Hector’s company become afraid. Shareholders are generally threatened by any minor incident involving the CEO. “Would your logic work, Grandpa? A shareholder meeting has already been sent to me, and Kevin has already organized everything. He drugged me, and it appeared that he had persuaded shareholders in my company to support him.” Hector’s best friend, Kevin, had drugged him the night before. Kevin was also a shareholder in Hector’s company, and if you aren’t particularly careful when running a company, shareholders may withdraw their shares, which would be detrimental for the company’s operations. Despite being the person who founded the company, the CEO, also known as Hector, can be sacked from his office when the company’s financial performance suffers. The media had already done some background research on the hotel photo, so the entire world knew it was him. His company was already in trouble, and he needed to act quickly before it was too late. “That bastard.” His grandfather insulted Kevin beneath his breath. “Time is running out, Hector, so you had better act quickly.” His grandfather was concerned about Hector, and he knew how much Hector valued his company. Hector was his favorite grandchild, and he was well aware that the news that had just broken was a complete fabrication. He was the one who pleaded with Hector to marry the actress Ivy despite being aware that Hector was still grieving the death of his late wife. Hector wasn’t the kind to sleep with a woman he hardly knew because it was totally out of his league. Hector breathed out. He was definitely in a pickle, and he was very upset right now. “Alright. I’m going to pay the Keegans a visit.” After Hector’s declaration, his grandfather smiled warmly because he was pleased that his grandson had to put aside what he despised the most in order to keep his company. On the other hand, as Matilda suffered a hard slap on her cheek, she placed her hand on her cheek before glancing at the floor. Her parents, as expected, are unconcerned about what she has been through. They didn’t bother to ask her if the rumors they had heard online were real, but instead they jumped into conclusions. Matilda was rendered speechless. “Do you realize how much I regret taking you into the Keegan family? Your only obligation in life is to compensate us for the kindnesses we have shown you, yet you are an ingrate.” Her mother didn't bother being careful with her words because she needed them to pierce Matilda deeply, and they did. As Matilda mustered the fortitude to raise her gaze, she was astonished to find herself surrounded by her Father, brothers, grandparents, and Cecelia her sister. There was just one person in the family that adored and cherished her, and his name was Charles. He was Mrs. Keegan’s second child, and he was the only one who understood Matilda’s personality, and he adores Matilda endlessly. He knew Matilda would never do anything to annoy his parents, so he was left wondering how on earth something like this could have happened. Mr. Keegan was also looking at Matilda with rage and hatred. “How did you meet CEO Hector Zachary?” She wanted to furrow her brows following her father’s query because she had no idea he was the monster CEO who was the center of gossip, last four years ago. Matilda dared not to respond. Her mother became enraged as she ran forwards and landed another hard slap on Matilda’s face, which was followed by several more slaps. Charles suddenly had the urge to run towards her, yanking his mother away from Matilda, as the rest of the family members watched what was going on, without batting an eye. Such occurrences were common in the Keegan household, so it was nothing new. After successfully separating Matilda from his mother, Charles stepped in between the two of them. “You are a disgrace to this family, Matilda, and you shouldn’t dare to bear my surname. You are such a waste to humanity, and I wish I hadn’t wasted my money abducting you, and the fact that you have to fight your mother makes you a…” Her father was unable to continue with his statement because he began beating Matilda. Charles started separating his father from Matilda once more. His father pounced on Matilda with fury and still in the process of separating his father from Matilda, they were all unaware of when a stranger entered inside the compound. “I would like to marry your daughter.” The voice of the stranger declared, and everyone who had been watching Mr. Keegan beat up Matilda turned to look at the owner of the voice. Mr. Keegan let go of Matilda as he stared at the person who owned the voice, but seeing the individual’s face made his jaw drop.
