The mysterious man.
Lisa
What? I was taken aback by Mr. Peter’s disrespectful and inappropriate behavior. Was he kidding? What did he take me for? A w***e? Today, I wouldn’t hesitate to put this bald, ugly old man in his place.
“What are you saying, Mr. Peter? I should do what?” I asked. “You want me to kneel and suck you?”
“I know you want it too, baby,” he sneered arrogantly. “Can you please stop acting like you’re a virgin?”
“Sir, I hate this.”
“Honey, I’ll take good care of you,” he muttered with a smirk. “All you have to do is spread your beautiful white legs and let me penetrate you.”
“Let go of me, pervert,” I yelled.
“Let go of you, huh?” Mr. Peter scowled. “Don’t even think of escaping from me. You will become my woman.” He leaned forward and grabbed my wrist tightly.
I’d had enough of this vile beast. He had the audacity to treat me like a harlot. I clamped my eyes tight, trying to contain my anger.
“I warn you, Mr. Peter. Let go of me, or else.”
“Or else what, b***h?” he demanded. “What are you going to do? Can you sue me or what? I’m your boss. I’m richer than you are. Only the strong prey on the weak.”
“What? Sir.”
“You’re weak. You should bow your head in my presence,” he announced, his voice rising in volume. “Be obedient and spread your legs wide for me.”
I punched him hard in the face without hesitation. His insult was too much for me to bear. I knew I wasn’t wealthy, but I wasn’t going to let him walk all over me. Over my dead body. Mr. Peter screamed out in pain. He screamed at the top of his lungs.
“You…” he screamed, holding his bloodied nose. “How dare you? How dare you do this to me?”
I scowled and approached him. “How dare I do what?”
“I think you are sick of living. Do you want to die?” he yelled.
“You’re still speaking,” I scoffed. “I guess it’s not painful enough to make you shut up, old fool.” I dragged him up by the hem of his shirt.
“You... what are you planning to do?” he asked, his eyes darting between me and the door.
“Watch me.”
“Please,” he begged.
I started beating him hard. I didn’t care if he fired me or not. I needed to show him that I wasn’t the type of person he could walk all over.
“Please, what?” I asked.
“Please forgive me,” he apologized. “I promise not to do it again.”
When I was satisfied with the beating, I threw him to the ground and walked over to his desk. I sat in his chair and crossed my legs like a queen before speaking.
“Kneel,” I commanded.
Mr. Peter did as I told him without hesitating.
“Tell me, boss, why should I pardon you?” I questioned.
“Ma’am, I’m sorry. I am blind. I shouldn’t have tried to take advantage of you.”
“Ma’am?” I frowned. “Don’t you think the word ‘ma’am’ is too much for me, boss?”
“No, it is not, ma’am. I shouldn’t have tried to prey on you. Forgive me,” Mr. Peter groveled.
I knew he was going to fire me after this. What can I say to threaten him? I can’t stand by and watch my mother suffer.
“I will forgive you, and I won’t hit you, but on one condition,” I asserted.
“What condition is that, ma’am?” he asked, his eyes trained on the floor. “I promise to do whatever you tell me.”
“You won’t fire me, or else I won’t stop hitting you,” I threatened. “I won’t hesitate to hit you anywhere I see you. And I am going to tell your wife that you are hitting on me.”
“Please don’t do that. I promise you.” He bowed his head lower. “I promise not to sack you or ever disturb you again.”
“Okay.” I stood up from his seat. “Remember to keep your promise, Mr. Peter.”
I walked out of his office, leaving him a bloody mess on the floor. I knew he wasn’t going to honor his word, but I was still glad I got to beat the s**t out of him.
“Well done, Lisa,” someone spoke. “You did a good job.” I turned around to find out who was talking to me.
“Who?” I searched around. “Who the hell are you? I want you to show up now.”
“I’m Anita,” the voice spoke again.
“Anita, who? Tell me, who are you?”
“What are you doing, Lisa?” Janet asked from her desk. “Who are you talking to?”
I looked around for the unusual voice owner, but I couldn’t find it. Am I going insane? What is going on with me?
“Are you okay, Lisa?” Janet asked.
“Oh yes. I’m alright, Janet.” I walked past her, trying to hide the confusion on my face. I took my seat and turned on my computer.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” she asked. “I’m worried.”
“Yes, I am,” I replied.
“How did it go? I mean, with the boss. I hope he didn’t give you any problems, Lisa.”
“You know him well, Janet. He blackmailed me for being late and demanded s****l favors,” I whispered to her, not wanting the others in the office to overhear our discussion.
I had to deal with him. It hurt a lot when someone treated you as if you were nothing.
“What the heck! Is he crazy?” Janet hissed, her eyes widening. “How could he do that?”
“I bet he is crazy. He’s a prime example of an arrogant snob. I’m fed up with him, so I put him in his place.”
“Did you beat him up?” she asked curiously, a smile toying at the corner of her lips.
“Yes.”
“It serves him right,” she stated after a pause. “I wish I was there to see him make a joke of himself.”
“Hey, he’s coming,” Janet whispered. Mr. Peter sheepishly crossed the office, glancing at us.
When his eyes fell on Janet, he uttered, “You’ll be fired for gossiping instead of working, Janet.”
Then he angrily walked away.
“Oh, my! You’re so bad, Lisa,” Janet mocked. “Look at his bruised face. He looks even uglier than before.”
“Tone down your voice, Janet. I don’t want him to take his anger on you.”
“Hehe!” she laughed louder. I tried to focus on my work after Janet left to return to her seat, but I couldn’t stop thinking about what he had done to me. If I hadn’t been strong, his daily harassment could have broken me. I worked until it was noon.
“Do you have any plans today after work, Lisa?” Janet inquired with a glint in her dark blue eyes.
I gave her a suspicious look. Is she attempting to drag me somewhere else today?
“Why?”
Janet smiled before saying, “I’m thinking of hitting the club with you today. What do you think?”
I knew she was up to something. “I won’t be able to, Janet. I’m sorry.”
“Why? It’s been so long since we had fun. Come on, let’s have fun.”
“I’m not in the mood, Janet.”
“Don’t say that. Is it because of him? Don’t let that hold you back from having fun!” she blurted. “We should go clubbing and leave behind what that nasty old man did. It will help you forget his disrespect.”
“You think so?”
“Yes, it will lighten your mood,” she replied convincingly. “Trust me, baby girl.”
She is right. I should go. I won’t let Mr. Peter get to me.
“Okay, let’s do that.” She agreed to pick me up later at my house after we said our goodbyes.
“Mom, I’m back.” I pushed the door open.
“You’re back,” she echoed from the kitchen.
“Yes, Mother.” My mother smiled gently at me and pulled me into a hug.
“Welcome home, Lisa. Food will be ready soon.”
“Alright, Mama. I need to take a shower.”
I left her and went into my bedroom, where I stripped my clothes and went into the bathroom. I sank into the warm bath water and shut my eyes, trying to erase Mr. Peter from my thoughts. My mother informed me that dinner was ready while I was still bathing. I put on my clothes and went downstairs.
“Here, sit and eat,” she said.
When I finished eating, I told her about my plan with Janet. Mother knew Janet to be an honest, reliable young lady.
“Okay. I want you to be careful out there, my darling.”
The doorbell rang, and it was Janet.
“Good evening, ma’am,” she greeted.
“Come in, darling,” my mother said. “Take a seat.”
“I will be right back, Janet.”
I rushed up and dressed up in all black, my favorite color. I hurried downstairs after getting dressed, and Janet and I said our goodbyes to my mother. We drove to the ‘Exclusive Club,’ a private club downtown. It was packed, and the music was overwhelmingly loud. I despised it, yet I couldn’t help but follow her.
“Lisa, let’s have some drinks before we hit the dance floor,” she told me. I followed her to the bar, where she placed her drink order.
“I don’t want a strong drink, please,” I told the bartender.
“It’s your call. I’d like to have the strongest drink available.” She gave the order. She downed it before moving to the dance floor. I sat calmly, sipping my beverage slowly, and observed Janet as men flocked around her. She was a stunning young lady who had a slew of male admirers.
“Come over here, Lisa,” she shouted from within the horde. “Let’s dance.”
“No, thank you,” I replied. I didn’t feel like dancing, so I watched as she danced and enjoyed herself.
“Do you care for some more, ma’am?” The bartender asked.
“I’m okay," I said as I got up and went to the restroom. I began to feel dizzy. I had never been good with drinks, and today was no exception.
“I’m sorry,” I said to the person I had stumbled into in my daze. I looked up and found myself captivated by him. He looked like a deity with the perfect blend of danger and attraction. He was both intriguing and inaccessible at the same time. He was the epitome of perfection. His mysterious, enticing aroma made me drool.
“How dare you stare into this king’s eyes?” he snarled in a husky, dominant voice. “Are you sick of living, human?”
