15. MAKE IT STOP!!!

JASON’S POV

“That was so intense.” I told Danny after the girls had left. Danny paid them already. He is generous with his money when it comes to paying the ladies that he is f*****g.

“We should do that again,” He agreed with me after we all dressed up.

“Yea,” I sighed.

“Jason, I am still leading in the bet. You should just give up,” He provoked me.

“I am not going to give up. I must win, trust you me,” I countered.

“Alright, the game is on,” He told me and I figured that I should check on Max. It is almost 5:00pm in the evening. We had taken a long time than we expected.

I knocked on his door and when I walked in, I was shocked to find Cheryl seated on his bed.

CHERYL’S POV

“Let us hide from her, we can talk about Jason in your room” I told Max and we rushed to the elevator. I didn’t want Rose to follow me and ruin everything.

“Alright,” He gave into the pressure and I got to the elevator with him. Since he was a friend of Jason’s, I figured that he would not harm me when I go with him to this room. Rose had ruined my chances of talking to him in the open.

We rushed to his room just before Rose caught up with us and I was so grateful. At least I am going to talk to Max in peace, far away from that b***h who wanted to stand in the way of my happiness. Why is rose such a b***h!

“I am so sorry,” I told Max who changed his wet t-shirt.

“No problem, you were saying?” He wanted us to pick the conversation we had before.

“I want you to help me. Pretend that you love me and Jason will feel jealous and he will love me back,” I told him.

“Then, how does that benefit me?” He asked.

“You can kiss me,” I urged him.

“Well, I don’t think I will,” He jested.

“Why?”

He was about to answer me when we saw the door knob turning.

“Hurry, it is him,” He urged me and I leaned in to kiss him.

He was right, Jason walked into the room. When he caught us kissing, he was taken aback.

“Cheryl?” He implored.

“Yes, it is me, right now, I am dating your friend Max,” I walked to where he was and told him on his face.

“So?” He asked and I really didn’t expect that reaction from him.

“I have said that I am dating your best friend Max,” I repeated.

“That is what I am asking so what!” He said this and I was lost of words for some minutes.

“Aren’t you going to get jealous like a normal person?” I asked him.

“Why should I? You are w***e. You threw yourself at Max just like the way you threw yourself to me, right?” He insulted me but I was not going to back down without a fight.

“That is not true, Max is the one who asked me out. He is lucky to have me,” I countered.

“Don’t kid yourself, Max will never approach you, not after he knows that I was busy breaking your virginity last night. You lost. Just leave us alone. Why are you bothering us? I used you and dumped you, move on.” He said this bitter words that crushed my soul and I felt as if I had been stabbed with a sharp sword.

“I am sorry Cheryl, I couldn’t help,” Max apologized as fresh tears started streaming out of my eyes.

“Get out of here, w***e!” Jason shouted at me as I left the room. I felt used and betrayed. I was so mad at myself for allowing all this to happen.

“Cheryl,” I was about to get into the elevator when Jason ran after me.

I thought that he was coming to fix things but that did not happen.

“I can’t tell you how much I hate you, you have just ruined my stay here. You are much of a begger and you keep coming back here and ruining my fun. Anyway, we are leaving tonight. We are going to Las Vegas, if you think of coming back, just know it would be a waste of time. We will not be here, we will not meet again. Bye Cheryl, quick advice, don’t throw yourself at men the way you did with me, have fun.” He told me before walking away.

I felt as if the whole world was crushing on me as I walked into the elevator. No amount of tears made me feel better. I cried all the way out of the Grand Hotel. I regretted being here in the first place. I regretted ever covering for Rose. She is the reason I am hurt like this.

I was lucky to find a taxi to take me home. I boarded it and the driver was worried when I couldn’t stop sobbing as he drove me home.

“Is everything okay madam?” He asked me and I ignored.

“I am sorry ma’am. Is there anything that I can do to ease your pain?” He asked me.

“Actually, there is one thing,” I told him after a while.

“Tell me, what should I do?” He asked once again.

“Kill me, hit this car with another car. I want to die. I don’t want to feel all this much pain. I want it to stop” I told the driver and he remained dead silent till I got home.

“Don’t harm yourself ma’am, your pain will not last for an eternity,” He tried giving me a pep talk but I didn’t care. I didn’t care about this life. I had messed up badly and I was in so much pain.

He said that the pain will go away but as time went by, I felt worse.

I walked slowly to the house and I looked for the house keys under the mat but they were not there. I opened the door and walked in.

“Thank God you are here,” Rose who was sitting at the stairs told me when I walked into the house.

“What do you want, leave me alone,” I told her as I passed by her.

“I didn’t believe that you could be that naïve. What has gotten into you,” Rose followed me to my room with all those accusations.

“Leave me alone Rose, leave me alone,” I warned.

“I hope you didn’t have s*x with that man. You should have known better. There is nothing like love in this modern world. Men will lie to you and use you. You don’t have to give into them,” She advised me as I changed to my night gown.

“It is too late to tell me all that,” I told her after I tucked myself in bed.

“What are you talking about?” She asked.

“I slept with a man that night, the next day, he cheated on me and he also insulted me. Mark you, I was a virgin when I met him. To make matters worse, he told me that I am a w***e and I threw myself at him,” I told her and she couldn’t believe it.

“What!”

“I am hurting from all this, I want to die Rose, I will kill myself so that all this pain will stop,” I told her the truth and she come to hug me, just like the way she used to hug me when I had horror dreams back when I was young.

“The man must pay for all this, I promise,” She assured me.

“No Rose, there is nothing you and me can do. They guy plus his friends have left town, they are off to Las Vegas to have fun,” I told her.

“I am so sorry this happened to you,” She told me.

“I am such, an i***t, I am going to kill myself. I have ruined my life, “I continued sobbing.

“Don’t say that, you will heal baby,” She consoled me but all I thought of was being suicidal.
