The man in the house!!

chapter 1: the voice from behind

It was a dark and snowy night. Sarah was home alone, watching TV in her living room. She heard a noise coming from the backyard and went to investigate. When she got there, she saw that the back door was open. She quickly shut it and locked it, but she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her. Suddenly, the lights went out. She fumbled for her phone and turned on the flashlight. That's when she saw the shadowy figure standing in the corner of the room. She screamed and ran out of the house as fast as she could. When she got outside, she realized that she had left her phone inside. She knew she had to go back in, but she was too scared. She took a deep breath and went back inside. She found her phone and was about to leave when she heard a voice whisper in her ear, "I've been waiting for you." she screamed a blood-curdleing scream and didnt understand what the heck just happened. She passed out from her fear and when she awoke she was even more terrified. Sarah was screaming because now she was tied to her parents' chestnut wood dinner chairs. Of course, she was very happy at that moment to be the only child because if she wasn't she would be worried sick (quite literally.) about her sibling(s). She started screaming to be let go and yesterday, but to her surprise, she didn't see any one around. Just then she heard the voice she had heard before. ''I've been waiting for you, Sarah.'' the voice said from behind her. she gasped. "what do you want, how did you get here, how do you know me and where me and my parents live and how in the hell did you know that my parents wouldn't be home?" she yelled at the unseeable man. for some reason he sounded famillier to her. she just couldn't quite place the voice though. he repeated himself once again but added more on to the sentence. '' i've been waiting for you Sarah, for a long time now, but you never noticed me you upset me darling." he sounded like he was grinding his teeth when he said that. that made her shiver in fear. just then she got a call from her mom and it made her jump out of her skin. a hand was put over her mouth and the man said if you tell your mom about this you will witness her die answer your phone." she did her mom wanted to let her know that she and her father were on their way home.
