chapter 2: not being the only one

427 Words
Sarah wasn’t the only one taken by the creepy man.. there was a young girl named Emily who was walking home from school when she was suddenly dragged into a car by the stranger. Emily tried to scream but the kidnapper covered her mouth with a handkerchief and drugged her. Emily woke up in a dark, dingy room, feeling disoriented and scared. She was tied up and all alone. just like sarah was now. She looked around and noticed that the room was empty except for a small cracked window. She tried to scream, but her voice was hoarse from crying and screaming for help. Days passed, and Emily's kidnapper would visit her from time to time to give her meals and water. He would also leave a small radio for her to listen to. Emily would listen to the news every day in the hopes of being rescued. After a week of being held captive, Emily couldn't take it anymore and decided to escape. She waited for the kidnapper to bring her food, and as soon as he opened the door, she punched him in the face and ran out the door. She ran as fast as she could until she found a police station and reported the incident. The police launched an investigation, and he was caught and was put in prison and Emily was reunited with her family. Although she was traumatized by the experience, Emily was grateful for the support of her family and the police. She was happy to be alive and vowed to never take her freedom for granted again. But the man escaped from prison 6 months before and he had his eyes set on Sarah and he vowed to himself not to show his face to anyone while being a kidnapper and Sarah was still scared and cold and didn’t know what to do or how she was gonna run. She knew her mom and dad were on their way home and she knew she needed to get this man away from her. She begged him to go to the store for her and pick up some pads so she could cover herself as her period had literally just started that morning she also said that he could watch her put it on so he knew she wasn’t lying about needing them and he said fine Sarah but we still need to talk. Just then he went to the store all the while covering his face so she couldn’t see him. And that’s when she made an escape plan.
