Nick’s POV
I wasn’t able to keep the thought of Nina out of my head after the night I had gone to meet her. After our meeting, I thought I was going to be filled with hatred for her but instead, I wasn’t able to keep her out of my head. I was glad that she was finally trusting me and now, I could go ahead with my plan without her suspecting me anymore.
My new Beta was good. I didn’t have high expectations of him because he was just starting, but he proved to be better than I had expected. I knew she wasn’t going to be as good as Nicolai. No one could be able to fill that spot because technically, he was born for that job. It was sad that he couldn’t continue with it.
