Nina’s POV
I heard a distant sound ringing in my ears like I was at the end of a tunnel and someone was calling out my name. I tightened my facial muscles as I tried to open up my eyes but I didn’t have any luck doing that. I didn’t know if I was paralyzed, but it felt like something like that.
My body began to shake too. I could tell it was from an external factor because I could feel only my upper body shaking. I tried to concentrate on the sound but that made my head start to throb. I decided to take a deep breath to soothe down my nerves and concentrate. I wasn’t dead. If I was, I wouldn’t be hearing all these sounds around me.
