I couldn’t say I was shocked by what I heard Hailey saying to Alpha Nick’s mother. She looked trustworthy and always behaved as if she loved him. I was glad I had finally seen her other side. The side that Alpha Nick needed to know. She knew that I was his mate, then why was she trying to separate me from him?
She has been nice ever since we met. I didn’t understand how people functioned. I was never terrible to people and neither did I have people around me that are but when I came to this pack, it was all different. Everyone either secretly hated me and was nice to me, or hated me and blatantly showed it.
