I had never experienced something like this in my life. The pain I felt in my chest was something I didn’t want to feel again. I had never been betrayed. I thought I had it all, even though the family wasn’t always the most important thing on my list. But now that I made them, they betrayed me. It should have closed my emotions.
It was so much better than having them stomp on it like it was a dirty rug and I couldn’t even do anything about it because they were my family. They came first. I couldn’t do anything to hurt them or even hurt them the way they hurt me. I had to just take heart and move on.
