Chapter 8: TGIF

When my alarm sounded at 7:30 this morning, I breathed a sigh of relief! Just a few more hours, and I would be free to escape into the weekend! I loved learning, but I hate school! The sooner this year is over, the sooner I can spend time dreaming of what I wanted to spend my time doing.  I rolled over and stretched across my bedside table to shut off the buzzing. Daylight streaked in through the cracks in the curtains, and I looked up to see my dress for tonight hanging casually on my wardrobe door. Butterflies erupted in my stomach at the thought of finally wearing it!  'We are going to slayyyyy tonight!'  I smiled and slowly sat up to look at it from a less horizontal angle. The light that bounced off the metallic green fabric shone as it reflected the morning light. It was strapless
