Chapter Fifty – Seven. Mars. As I follow the ambulance, I have to force myself to keep my attention on the road ahead. I have never been so scared in my life, including what happened with my family. Knowing my son had a skull fracture is petrifying. But also, the knowledge that he still has internal issues and busted ribs is terrorising me. I hate that he is in pain, I would do anything to take that away from him. Rage bubbles like hot springs in my veins, threatening to consume me. I must fight it, but the urge to give in to the torrent of fury, is so strong, I feel like I will explode in a split second.
