Chapter 13

1280 Words
Maya’s P. O. V   Finishing my drink in one go, I stood up from my seat and started walking towards those guys who might have initiated an argument earlier over some unjust affairs and soon it turned into a massive chaos inside the casino, causing them to gain all the attention from the bouncers as well as the security officers of The Nightingale Bar and Casino. I will not deny that it did help me to get the less attention while I was trying to approach that Massimo guy to have a talk separately in a bit quieter place than this. But until now, I could not get to see his face yet, just the back of his body. Without any doubt, he was tall and slightly comes under the tone which we call dusky. His hair seemed curly but perfectly combed, while he was wearing a floral printed expensive summer shirt along with a trouser. His fingers which did not stop pointing to the other men during their arguments, were embellished with twenty two carats gold rings and there was a thick gold bracelet on his wrist as well. Yes, his appearance did seem familiar to my eyes. Even though I did not see his face yet, I am now starting to guess who he might be. I cautiously kept heading towards the crowd and stopped right behind him without making him aware of my presence. In this critical situation, I knew very well that I just can not ask him to come with me alone as it would be a foolish thing to do, cause by doing so I might end up exposing myself which will surely cause me a lot of troubles. So, of course, I needed to go for another way to make him come with me anyhow. I kept standing right behind him and waited for the right moment. And as soon as I realised that the other people had already started to make the fuss even bigger, snatching all the attention to themselves now from Massimo, I grabbed the opportunity and carefully whacked on his shoulder exactly on the spot which was enough to make him unconscious for some time at least without letting anyone know what I was doing under the dim light which was barely coming from the ceiling. In an instant, his body became unstable and was about to fall down on the ground, just when I grabbed him and wrapped my arm around his waist to give him a little support and dragged him out of this crowded place without letting anyone see us. As it is not unusual for people to get drunk and devastated, it was not that difficult for me to get us through the exit of this casino. I did not wait for any more second to take a cab as soon as we came out of The Nightingale Bar and Casino, cause I needed a much quieter place to talk to him for which my room will be the perfect place. There will be no one to suspect, nor anyone will interfere in my business. . . . “Wake up.” Emptying a jug full of water on him, I declared as soon as I saw him jerking up into his senses from his unconscious state. I was standing nearby but made sure to keep a careful space between us, while I did not forget to keep the room in absolute darkness either, allowing the least bit of light of the sparkling city at night time to come through the huge glass window and fall on Massimo only. And me? Well, of course, I was standing in the dark, so that Massimo could never get to see my face yet, until it is time for me to come to the forth. Yes, my assumptions were absolutely right. He is the same person I used to know in my previous life. He was the guy who was in charge to supply firearms to The Syndicate Sapphire. Although, back then, I did not need to make deals with him personally except for the first time only, as my assistant was there to take care of it all. And maybe that was why I never bothered to remember his name ever. He did come useful back then, and he might be the same in this life too. But, it is just that, one thing I should not forget that he used to know me in my previous life when I was in my late twenties. That means he must have never heard of my name yet. So, I should be careful cause I will be introducing myself way before time. One thing I just could not help but think all this time, is what if my sudden change of action than my previous life has also accelerated the occurrences of these kinds of events as everything is already started to happen way before time, as far as I remember. What if the incident of me coming back to life and that too so many years back in the past have somehow triggered the laws of time and space and that is why all these happening to me right now? I did not know now. Cause, now to me, anything could be possible. Anyway, I should not be thinking about the mystery of time now, as I have something more important to busy my mind with. Massimo, who woke up just now after getting hit by the cold water right on his face, was already terrified seeing such change of his place and position all of a sudden as he found himself inside the dark room instead of the lively casino ambience. No wonder his face turned pale as he got shocked as hell, thinking that he might have been abducted by those with whom he had an argument earlier and might also end up dying tonight. He was not at fault cause anyone in his place would have reacted this way. Even I did once. So I know what he is feeling right now. But that was not at all my concern. As I did not want to take any kind of risk, I have already tied him up with the chair earlier when he was still unconscious, making sure that he will never be able to get himself free unless I want, let alone the fact that he would try to attack me. “Who is there? Where the hell I am? Get me out of this, you bitch.” Massimo panicked even more, finding himself tied up with the chair right after he woke up. “Shhhhh…. Do not scream. Your noise is really causing my ears to pain.” I uttered from the dark while I kept my eyes fixed on him to watch how he reacts. “What do you want from me? I did not take anything from you, did I? I do not even know you.” He yelled once again in frustration, as he might have ever guessed even in his dreams that one day he will be abducted by a girl. “No, you did not. But you could give me something I want.” I replied calmly in no time. “I have nothing to give you.” He retorted back while he did not stop trying to undo the knots even for a second but failed to do so. “Yes, you have, Massimo.” I chuckled, seeing him getting afraid of me like this. Yes, that was what I want. People to be afraid of me or my name from now on.
