Chapter 16

We're heading down the wrong road.  While we were busy braking everything, you were braking.  The summer sun reminds me of you. I should have been their.  After everything you've been though. It'll be a miracle if you looked at us.   You where standing right here,  in front of us.  But we never saw you on till it was to late.          ††††††††               "So what was it you guys wanted to talk about?" Blu asked as he stared at the twins that sat across from him in the living room. He had an excited expression on his face, that reminded Seth of a hight school girl that finally got a chance to talk with her long term crush.      Blu was excited and curious about what the Alphas wanted to talk to him about. The majority of his brain came to the conclusion that they wanted to talk about something good to him, while just a very tiny little part of his brain thought that the conversation that he was about to have with the Alphas was not one of good. But Blu quickly silenced such thoughts.     The Alpha Kings, loved him.      "We can't keep doing this–" "It has to end–" "It's over, Blu."  "Yo–you don't mean that."  "We do."  "Why."  "Athiss is pregnant."   These words ‘Athiss is pregnant, had brought back the memory of the event that lead to this particular moment. The event that lead to this very moment was not premeditated. It was something just happened. It was just like cramps, the pain just happened. It wasn't something that you could stop. They couldn't help but remember each of the words in those seconds, of the moment that changed their life.   ‡‡‡‡   "There's another thing..." Timi said, then cleared his throat. The air of professionalism switched on, like a second dominant personality.  "Umm. Athiss is pregnant."  Shock possessed the twins, blowing them out of their minds. They couldn't believe that they were about to be Dads. Their primal instincts kicked in, influencing their opinions about Athiss and pushing the way they saw him, in a positive direction. Their primal instincts commanding them, to protect their child and their mate with their lives. When they heard that their mate was pregnant, they were instantly rewired into loving their mate and their child.   "But there's a problem–"  "And what's that?" Lieon asked and for the first time ever, it was obvious that he cares about Athiss.  "The pains that Athiss is having is not good for him and the fetus. It's straining his body. Plus taking constant pain killers is another problem–"  "Can't you heal him? You're a healer." Seth asked, with his voice laced with irritation.  "I tried. I inserted my spiritual energy in his body with the aim of finding out the source of the pain and I found something. When I first checked, his insides looked normal, it was just like a normal humans body system. But when I wanted to check the child, something stopped me. I couldn't get pass through the temporary bag that housed the child. At first I didn't think it was of much importance, on till I felt the energy around the temporary womb..." As Timi talked, his voice began to get smaller on till the sounds made by the vibration of his vocal cords disappeared.  "And what type of energy did you feel?"  "Ummmm." All of a sudden, as if Timi was miraculously injected with a little bit of chicken blood. He cleared his throat, took a deep breath, straighten his back so much so that it rivaled the straightness of a bamboo and steered straight into the eyes of the Alpha Kings with so much seriousness and delivered the bad news in a hearts beat.  "The energy I felt around the temporary womb is the energy that comes from dark magic."  "Dark magic?" Seth asked sounding bewildered.  "Are you sure?" Lieon asked in disbelieve. Both twins asked Timi, two different questions at the same time and expected an answer to their questions.  "Yes, dark magic and I'm a hundred percent sure. I had consulted three other healers and two witches and they all confirmed it. The energy was of dark magic."  "So..."  "We, that is I and the other people I consulted about Athiss case. Think that maybe the child is cursed?"  "Cursed? How can our child be cursed?" Seth bellowed out.  With the roaring sounds of Seth's voice, Timi shrinked into his sit so much so that he became on with his chair.   Seth was always the loud one.  "W–w–we are not su–sure but it's–it's just one of the possible reasons we–we– Ummmm. I mean that's why–why there's bark magic surrounding the–the temporary womb. We're not sure but–but we have already started an investigation. But while we are at that we also need to take necessary precautions like making sure that Athiss is stress free, safe and well cared for. The baby would need you two at it's side. For the pain the two witches I consulted, made a numbing and protection charm for Athiss in the form of a waist chain. Since the problem was is coming from the temporary womb, so a waist chain charm is better."  "I can't believe someone cursed our child." Lieon said in disbelieve.  "The pregnancy is just a month, too early for anyone to find out about it, without checking." Seth inputted.   "I guess we are dealing with an ancient cures." Timi interjected.   "If it's an ancient cures, then we'll be f*****g with them history book for a while." Seth joked, but his joke was so dry that one could find more moisture in the desert, than in his joke.            You know when you wake up and it's morning and the sun just happened to shine on you. It's brightness not blinding, it's heat is not but comforting. In that split second you can't remember anything, you'll feel special, you'll feel as if the sun was in love with you, like it had eyes for only you, like it was following you. At that moment you'll feel like a child. Just at that moment, the world would be perfect and it'll be all yours to take. At that moment, your ready of anything and nothing.  Your young and the world is in love with you. At that perfect moment, your perfect and so is the world.  This was the moment Athiss was in when he woke up. Just at that split second Athiss was not Athiss but just... Athiss.  But such a moment would never last forever. It would never even lasted long enough to be called really, it was just a split second. It was just a moment, before reality comes crashing down on you like the walls of Jericho.   Again it was just a split second.   How sad.  When Athiss looked around the room, he realized that he was not the only one in it. The twins where snoozing away on the couch.            ††††††               Shhhhh.   The music is playing.  The drums are biting.  The harp is singing.    Words come to life with the expression of a voice.   The dancers are dancing. The lead dancer is crippled.  Shhhhh   Watch as he falls, with no one to catch him.  Imagine the end.  ... It's near...   Shhhhhhh...
