Laura’s POV The days after the funeral were a blur of quiet moments and sleepless nights. I found myself wandering the house, touching the little things that reminded me of my grandmother—her worn-out shawl draped over the armchair, and the scent of lavender she always carried. I felt like I was walking through a shadow of my former life, haunted by everything I had lost. My mind was filled with so many memories of her and it only made me feel like she was close to me. "Will I ever get over the death of my grandmother?" I asked myself but I just could not get any answer to my question. Just when I halted my steps, a thought came into my mind, and for a moment the thought of the death of my grandmother was secondary in my mind. I hadn’t spoken to Antonio since the funeral.
