Laura’s POV I stared at Anna, trying to make sense of why she was here. It was true we hadn’t parted on the best of terms—no, we hadn’t parted on any terms at all. She had married Alexander, the man I had once imagined sharing a life with, and from that point on, our relationship had been little more than silent avoidance.
