I stared at Alex for a second, wondering how I was going to tell him that I did not want security to go with me, knowing he would fully object to it.
'This is exactly why I did not want to leave when he was around. How could I have known he would turn back and come home halfway to work?'
I thought to myself as I looked for a way, knowing I did not have much time for chats. All I wanted was to get to Nico's place to find out what was happening.
