I stopped stuffing my mouth with food after noticing Gideon and Malea looking at me oddly. I swallowed the food and cleared my throat. “Sorry, I didn’t realize how hungry I was until my first bite.”
Gideon’s eyes widened, and he quickly waved his hands, “Oh no, continue with your meal. I was just surprised that you could eat that much. Not that it’s bad, but I’m amazed in a very good way. Woah.”
Malea quietly agreed, which made me chuckle awkwardly. “Eat with me if you want. I’m really hungry, but this is a lot of food. I’m sure they prepared a lot for later’s full moon too.”
Gideon politely declined while Malea happily joined me in eating. She seemed to be enjoying food other than blood lately, especially Luigi’s cooking.
“Yummy…” She smiled and mumbled after taking a bite.
