KARA
“Kara? Are you still there?” Callista waving her hand to my line of vision pulled me back to reality. She looked at me with worry in her eyes, almost reflecting on mine towards my daughter.
I looked at her, clearly needing more than assurance. “We’re going to be okay… right?”
Yesterday should have been the best full moon of my life, the first time I would experience it with my daughter, but I ruined it… and I might have ruined everyone else’s full moon too.
She heaved a sigh and patted my back to comfort me, “It’s not what we’re expecting, and it’s definitely unusual, but we’re in a town full of different creatures all co-existing one way or another. Something odd… odder[ is meant to happen, right? It’s how it is.”
