Eliza's POV
I push the front doors and step outside. A chill breeze brushes my skin and I run my hands up and down my arms as goosebumps feather my skin.
I hear footsteps behind me followed by a warm jacket covering my shoulders. Pulling the jacket closer I bury my chin closer to the fabric and Luca's scent fills my lungs. A sudden calmness runs throughout my body as he steps to my side, looking up at the night sky.
"The stars are incredibly bright tonight" he says before turning his head to look at me. After a few seconds I break our gaze to stare out at the open garden infront us.
"I don't believe anything we just heard inside Luca" I say suddenly, clenching my hands as I pull the jacket even closer. I stand there waiting for his rebuttal but none comes.
