I'm in Art class and I can't stop staring at that asshole, Asher. He's so smug and I know he has no good intentions with Melanie, which makes my protectiveness for her go into overdrive. The tardy bell rings and Melanie is still nowhere to be seen. The teacher is sitting at his desk waiting, because he doesn't really care and always allows students to be five minutes late without counting them tardy. Melanie walks in with anger radiating off of her. I can tell something happened, but I don't know what. Tiffany told me she saw her being escorted to the principal's office, which concerns me. She's derailed so much that she's going to let it ruin her chances of attending Berkeley. She walks across the room and I can tell she feels me looking at her but she never looks
