lunch gone wrong

Kai's P.O.V.
The boys were finding their way to the dining room for lunch. I couldn’t help myself, but seeing some new things on the table today, did Judy try some new things while cooking? The eggs this morning were amazing. Maybe she had found some new strength inside herself, since the last couple of days she seemed to have lost her will to live. I couldn’t blame her, Seth was being too hard on her, she did everything he made her do and more, and it still wasn’t good enough for him. He was just a douche, but I still needed to keep him around as my Beta. Like always, he was trying to find something to whine about. Yelling to the kitchen for Judy to come out for something new to be mad about, when he called out a second time, I already knew she was in trouble for making him wait. Seeing the door opening and seeing Sienna walk out took me by surprise.
What the hell is she doing down here?
She should be in our room.
Our gazes met and, once again, I felt the need to stand up and to pull her in my arms, take her face in my hands and kiss those beautiful lips. I was pleasantly surprised, seeing she was wearing one of my t-shirts, underneath she was wearing black jeans with one ripped knee. She had pulled up my shirt and knotted it across her belly, showing off her perfect curves.
God that body is pure perfection!
I had to fight the urge for another hard one in my pants, as my wolf Ace was hopping around in my mind, feeling content, that our mate was wearing something of me, putting my scent on her body. Mine and mine alone.
Seth barked at her to get water, making her turn around and walk out, giving me a perfect look at her even more perfectly looking ass.

Here’s the hard one again!
I had to fight the urge to growl, seeing I was not the only one looking at her perfect assets. Too many heads were looking her way, and it made me want to get up and rip their heads off, one by one. She came back, giving Seth a glass of water. I could already see he was thinking of pulling off some s**t, and then, he threw the carafe against the wall, breaking it into a million pieces.
“This f*****g water is not cold, you dumb b***h!” I rolled my eyes, seeing the display.
So lame Seth,
so lame!
“You asked for water, not ice water. Maybe you should be more specific next time.” I looked up, seeing her stand her ground. I didn’t know if I adored her more for it, or thought she was the most stupid girl in the world, knowing Seth would never let her walk away from that. Especially since the rest of the boys started to laugh at him, after Sienna had put him in his place. I saw Seth standing up, making my wolf Ace turn his attention on him.
~Touch our mate and you are dead!~ Ace hadn’t even put the words into my head, when Seth’s hand went for Sienna, grabbing her by her hair. She cried out in fear, making my wolf lose it completely as he roared throughout the dining room.
“Hands off my pet, Beta.” I growled at him, seeing he was only tightening his grip on her.
“NOW!” I roared at him, making the walls inside the house shake.
Finally, the fucker let go of her. She was mine, no one would lay a finger on her, but me!
Why the hell was she even out here?
“You, go to our room, now!” I hissed at her, pointing towards the stairs. I saw the hurt in her eyes, and seeing her expression, hurt me more than I had wanted. But she was not listening, and I needed to get her out of the room, before Seth would launch at her again.
“I need to clean up.” She spoke while she looked at me, pain behind those gorgeous brown and green mixed eyes.
Fuck Sienna,
Don’t you get it?
I’m trying to protect you, by getting you out of this room!
“You get your ass in our room, right now, or I will drag you up the stairs myself.” I spoke in a threatening tone, seeing her heart being crushed again by my words. But her feet started moving, and she finally walked out, to the safety of my room, where no one could hurt her. I sighed as I looked aside, seeing Seth look at me like he wanted to jump at me and rip my throat out.
I’d like to see you try, little fucker!
“Got a problem, Beta?” I asked him, raising my eyebrows. He just shook his head and started to eat again. I looked around the table, seeing if anyone else would like to try and make a smart remark. They all looked down, submitting to me.
Good.
So, we started eating again in silence.
After another ten minutes, most of the boys were done and got up, to go take a shower or relax a bit before we would train again at two o-clock. I needed to go to my room and see if Sienna was OK, my wolf Ace almost pulled me upstairs himself, as he was constantly screaming inside of me, to kill Seth for touching her, for hurting her. Knowing fully well, my words had hurt her far more than Seth’s hands. I sighed, not knowing what to do. I opened the door of my bedroom, closing it behind me. I looked around, seeing the room was empty.
Where is she?
I sniffed and found her scent lingering around here, so I made my way to the hallway. The bathroom was empty. The dressing room, empty. The office, empty as well. I opened the last door of the small library, seeing my mate was crawled into a ball, sitting in the corner. My heart broke at the sight of her.
She doesn’t deserve this.
Tears were streaming down her cheeks, and she seemed genuinely scared as she looked at me. I shook my head and slowly stepped closer, leaning down, so I was at her eye-level. Her hair was falling in strands in front of her eyes. I lifted my hand slowly, seeing she ducked away from me, afraid of what I was going to do to her.
~You f****d it up Kai!~ Ace growled in my head.
Fuck, she’s afraid of me.
Who is afraid of their own mate?

“I’m not going to hurt you, I promise.” I whispered as I lifted my hand again, gently stroking her hair behind her ear. Seeing her beautiful eyes looking at me, red from crying, but still the most beautiful eyes in the world. My fingers let go of her hair, slowly moving to her cheek. And before I knew it, I was cupping her cheek with my hand. Feeling her skin against mine, stirred up a new feeling inside of me, a feeling that I never wanted to let her go, ever again. A feeling that I needed to protect this girl, more than anything in the world. f**k this pack, she was all that mattered, she was the center of the universe, my universe. My breathing stopped as I saw her leaning into my hand, a single tear rolling down her face. My other hand went up fast, wiping it away with my thumb. The thumb that wandered down and was now stroking over her lips, her gorgeous heart-shaped lips. I felt her gasp for air at my touch. Making my wolf Ace purr, the mate bond was so strong, it was pulling us together much faster and harder than I thought.
