It took every inch of my self-control not to beat the crap out of that slimy weasel. How dare he cheat on my daughter? How dare he put his hands on her in violence? I glanced at her and saw her cheeks flush with shame. It must kill her to have to take that kind of crap, especially from someone like him. She deserved so much better than him. It hurt me that I couldn't save her from this. I wanted to so badly. I would love nothing more than tell her to be with her mate and be happy.
