I had just gotten home when Ellie mind linked me to ask if I knew where Becky was. I replied that I thought that she ws at the restaurant. She had left me a while ago to go there. Ellie sounded worried as she told me that Becky had never arrived, and she hadn't been able to get hold of her. I told her to try not to worry until we knew what was going on. I said that I would go to Becky and Joe's house and see if she was there. I was soon on my way. Hopefully, it would turn out that something had come up, and Becky had decided to skip her shift. It wasn't like her to not let someone know, though. As I approached Kingfisher cottage, I noticed a light on in the living room. As far as I knew, Joe was with Adam. He had said they would be working late tonight. The light gave me hope.
