I want the truth

DAMIEN’S POV The girl that we had picked up from the shoes was finally awake but with that I discovered that she wouldn’t be able to tell me what had happened to her and how she ended up on the water. I had a lot of questions for her. I wondered what I should do with her. A part of me wanted to obviously help her, but it was kind of hard to decide to because I committed myself to helping wolves that needed my help. Was she running away from something, or was she being chased? Recently, my kingdom had been suffering a lot of losses to the extent that we had to hide our identity to keep ourselves safe. There were a lot of superstitions from the surrounding kingdoms, and most of those included murdering my kind. This was the reason why I was being careful with her. My carelessness had cost me greatly in the past, so I was very careful about anyone and everyone that I brought into the kingdom. So far, we had given her a name, and after that the doctor had discharged her. He told me that she was feeling better and gave me the go-ahead when I told him I wanted to ask her questions. I told him that I wanted him to bring her to my office right after he was done with her so that I could just get this over with and have answers to my questions. I waited anxiously in my office for her to come and hopefully give me the answers that I wanted “may I please come in your highness?” the doctor asked me from the other side of the door. “Yes please come in” I said as I sat up eagerly. She looked better than she had looked when she was lying on that hospital bed. Now that she was coming into my office, I couldn’t help noticing her beautiful Bob hair and her beautiful green eyes. The blonde hair and the green eyes made her even prettier than she already was. “I just brought her to see you as per your request” he said and then walked out again. “so where do you come from?” I asked her as soon as he walked away, I didn’t want to waste any time because I didn’t want to keep her here with me if she was a danger to my kingdom. “I…I…” she shuttered, making me believe she was trying to keep some information from me. “Just speak…or do you not speak my language?” I asked her. “I don’t really remember” she said in a voice that was almost a whisper. “what do you mean you don’t remember?” I yelled, and as soon as I raised my voice, she seemed to shrink in size. I felt like she was trying to deceive me, and she was trying to be something that she was not. This girl before me was clearly a trained alpha wolf, and that was the reason why I was questioning her so relentlessly. I could smell her, and he strength was too strong for any wolf to ignore. She was even close to heat, which made me wonder about her mate, and was she here? “Why are you here?” I demanded. “They tried to kill me” she finally said, but I could still tell that she was trying to filter some information and choosing how much to share with me. “Just tell me the truth” I shouted, my voice echoing throughout my office “what do you want me to say?” she asked me, sobbing “I want you to tell me the f*****g truth” I shouted slamming my hands on the table making her jump to her feet. “I don’t know what to tell you. I already told you that I don’t know what to tell you” she said. “what do you mean you don’t know what to tell me? Do you not know how you ended up on this shoreline?” I demanded. “I don’t… I don’t member okay. I don’t even remember my name or where I come fro.” she said but she was lying and I was certain of it. “I don’t believe you” I said “then just let me go, why would you keep me here if you don’t believe? Not believing me means that you don’t trust me either” she said “Are you already here and I can’t just let you go, how do I know that you wont tell anyone about us? How do I know that you wont lead whoever sent up ere to us?” I asked her “It’s either you come clean now or I will kill you. I don’t want to buy I will have to” I said and she got up. For a second it looked like she was about to turn and challenge me. I had never met a female wolf that ever dared to challenge me the away she seemed to be ready to. She looked like she was certain that she could rip my head off and get away with it. That is when I realized what I was dealing with. She wasn’t just any female wolf but she was a female wolf that had the spirit of a male wolf. It was almost as if she had a male le wolf inside of her and it was very odd. “Are you challenging me now?” I asked her and she sat back down “I…apologize. I didn’t mean to do that” she said. “Come with me” I said heading to the door, I wanted to show her the room in which she was going to be staying. I didn’t really care about her comfortability but I wasn’t a man that could ever be accused of mistreating anyone without reas9n. At this point I was still trying to figure out why she was here. She still wouldn’t tell me and I guess she wanted to stick to her story that she couldn’t member. I decided that I was going to keep her here for a little while and maybe in time she would open up and tell me her story To be honest I didn’t feel like she was a threat to me or to my kingdom but I could never be too careful. I had to be sure of who she was, in the past I had prided myself in taking care of the outcasts in the w9lf kingdom as I also considered myself one but I had been taken advantage of. I had lost my mate because of the way I had opened up “This is where you will stay. J don’t really have to keep you but I have things and people that I have to protect” I said and she frowned. I knew she was confused and I couldn’t understand her. Seeing that she was an alpha wolf, or was only second nature to her to try to figure out what I was. However she was never going to figure yhat out unless I decided to tell her which I had no plan to. She may have been an alpha wolf but here she was going to be treated just like any other rogue wolf. “I honesty don’t think I can stay here” she said, she was trying to make it seem like she felt unsafe with me and all that but the truth was that she had her very own reasons for that. She didn’t wan to say here because she was scared that I would find things that she was trying so hard to find. “why, is this room not u to your standard?” I asked her and I was going to be angry because I had given her the second biggest and best room in the palace. I wasn’t going to tolerate any ingratitude from her. “No the room is perfect. But as much as you don’t know me I also don’t know you. As much as you don’t just me I also don’t trust you, you keep saying that you are protecting some people and all I am trying to do is protect myself from you” she said and I scoffed “You think you need protection from the guy who saved your life?” I asked her and she nodded, she seemed to be suddenly coming out of her shell and I decided not to say anything that would scare her. I found her to be very interesting and I was interested to know more about her. “yes, I don’t know you and you have already made a threat to me. You threatened to kill me and then now you turn around to ask me to stay with you” she said “if you don’t wan to stay you are free to go, I am not going to lock you up here. You are completely free to go and I am going to my room. I don’t he time for this s**t” I snapped as j made my way to the door but I stopped after opening the door. “Oh and tomorrow, I expect answers from you. I want to know where you are from and why you ended up on my shores ” I said and then made my way out of her room. If this girl knew better she better tell me the truth about where she was from tomorrow because if she didn’t I was going to throw her back into the water that she came from. I dont know what it was, but there was something about her that was just getting to me. i don't know if it was her scent or the fact that I couldn't identify which kingdom she was from. Maybe it was the fact that she was refusing to tell me the truth, but I found myself very bothered by being in her presence.
