Truth about the past

**CHAPTER 6** The sun had rised again. The fresh air with cold breeze is relaxing and soothing. I don't remember what Olivia said this season is but I think it's Winter. When they are going to bring back these things, it's going to be more easy and less confusing. I hear Hayden's voice coming from the spare room. I want to go to him, but what am I going to do then. I think he is on the phone with someone. I remembered that I have to meet the women from Source today. So I climbed out of my bed, out of the warmth into the cold. I put on my thickest sweat pants, hoodie and slippers. As I walk through the freezing hallway, I bumped into Hayden. “Hey.” he says “Oh hey, sorry I didn't see where I was walking.” I said. “It's fine.” he says and quickly looks back at his phone and walk to my brothers room. I sigh. Do I actually feel attracted to him, or do I just want his attention. My heart feels a connection of love towards him, but brain just thinks it's a heart burn. I look at my phone and see that the women sent me a message, telling me she's on her way to the café. I quickly grab my brother's keys. I luckily asked him if I can borrow his ford. On my drive to the café, I see that not alot of people are outside. But it's usually like this. They come out of their houses once in a blue moon to get fesh air, then they just go back inside. The life we have now is just unrealistic. The past seemed so much more fun and exciting. There were big houses with pools and people outside having fun. Now they just get together to have rematches and a tournament. I finally reach the café. The women is standing outside, waiting for me. I wonder why she didn't go inside. “Hey.” I greet. “Hey. You must be the JBL I was hoping to meet.” she says “Remember to wear your mask next time. I'm the only one who can see you without it and I shouldn't even had to.” she adds. “Don't worry, I promise to wear it next time.” “Good. Shall we go in?” she asks. We both head inside. The café is almost empty. There are 3 people at a table, al of them is on their phones. It's a wonder how there are still waiters working here. “So how are you doing after the big win?” she asks. “It's okay I geuss. It doesn't actually really make a big difference in my personal life.” I tell her. “Yes. I actually hate it. Everybody just thinks about the games. But it doesn't effect anything in reality. ” she says. She looks upset. She's looking down to her drink. Twirling her finger around the mug. “Why do you like playing games?” she asks. “I don't know. I actually don't like it, but I don't hate either. I geuss that I just had to make a decision, you know.” I reply. “Why is there people working normal jobs instead of playing? ” I ask her. “They got banded from playing any game ever. It's usually because they hack the games in order to win.” she tells me. I didn't have anything to say. But she looks like she has more to say. “You know. I know I'm not supposed to tell you this, but everyone thinks that this is how life is supposed to be. But it was just all created to end humanity. If more people start winning games and more people become jail breakers, it'll end up in huge conflict. But we can stop it before they reach it. As soon a specific game comes out, or everything wil go to shit.” she says. “What game? ” I ask her. “Jenisis pro.” she says. “What makes it so bad?” I ask her out of curiosity. “Jenisis pro is being created to make everybody violent . It'll make them all jail breakers. The corporation wants this to happen so that they can have control. They'll make it seem as if there is a hack and everyone will lose everything. Source head quarter's wasn't man made. It was created through robots. Jenisis pro is a ticking time bomb. If players get hurt in the game, they'll be feeling it in reall life, experience suit or not.” she says with a worried look in her eyes. “So that means, if they die in the game, they'll die in reall life too.” More people started walking into the café, so we had to lower our voices. “Look, Jenisis X was made in 2099. It didn't work, so they created Jenisis pro. They tested it on multiple workers at the quarters.” she says quietly. “Why are you telling me this?” I can't help it wonder. “Because your the first person who reached JBL. Source wants you to be the first one testing the game so that you can advertise it. They want you to bring a plus one so that you can challenge eachother in the game. And if you do that, you'll be silenced forever.” “I don't get it.” “Your parents and few other people volunteered for the Jenisis pro 5'120 experiment. When your parents lost, they got killed, so did the other people. It didn't work like they wanted to, so they had to end them, before they could talk.” she says. I thought my parents were killed in a shoot out, meanwhile they were murder because of a game fail. I don't get how these things work, and I don't know if this women is telling the truth. But I know what I have to do.
