"My goodness! Ava, are you alright? Look at your hair! It looks like a house of the birds! Gosh!" I said pitifully when I noticed Ava curling up her hands into a fist to control her anger as she was so embarrassed that she didn't even raise her head to show her face, but was that enough to make me leave her alone tonight?
