Ares's Pov

Taking a last glance of myself, I turned around and noticed the face of my best friend, who was smirking at me, "Why is your face glowing so much, King Ares? Oh, is it because you're getting married or because you're marrying Xania Hurgus??" Pedri said as he was wearing a black suit.

I ignored him and walked near the door, and I was just about to leave when I turned towards him and said, "I'm happy because I'm marrying my Mate." With that, I left my room to see my Mate, who has been hiding like a rabbit since yesterday.

Just the moment I entered into her room, my wolf started growling inside of me as my eyes fell on her, standing in the corner, clutching at her wedding dress tightly as if she was about to run away, leaving me behind. Her back was facing me, so I couldn't see her face.

Taking a few steps toward her, I said, "Are you planning to run off??"

Hearing me, she turned back and again, I felt a current flowing through my veins. Her almond eyes, pink lips, rosy cheeks and pointed nose always make it harder for me to pull my eyes off her and today when she's wearing the wedding dress for me, how can I help my heart from not falling harder? My heart started racing, but she kept staring at me with helplessness floating in her eyes.

My bride, she is the most beautiful person ever I’ve seen in my life. No matter what she wears, she’ll be the most beautiful in my eyes.

"Ares_ I mean, King, why are you doing this? I know you hate me, you loath me, then why are you doing this act? To humiliate me later? What is your intention??" She started throwing questions in my face without taking a breath. Taking a better glance at her, I noticed that tears started flowing down from her eyes, making me feel pathetic.

"Do you still hate me for that day? It was not me! Why would I push your girlfriend into the pool? Why do you still hate me for that day!" At last, she screamed in my face while crying bitterly. I kept staring at her without saying anything as I knew I don't have any right to say anything now.

But seeing her crying makes me feel bad as just to make sure she is safe, I had to make her hate me so hard that now she is crying on our wedding day.

Am I making her life miserable already?? But I don’t have any other option.

Leaving my thoughts aside, I said in a straight tone, "I don't have any reason to take revenge on you. You're my mate, my fate, and as a Lycan king, I can't go against the Moon Goddess.

Everyone is ready; let's go." Saying it, I took a tissue and gave it to her when I really wanted to wipe her tears which were flowing because of me. But just a few more hours, once I mark her as mine, I will shower her with love for her whole life, but of course, after handling all the storms which were are about to step in.

She blinked Innocently and wiped her tears as she also knew there was no option left other than marrying me.

Keeping her hands on my elbow, I asked in a low gentle tone, "Ready??"

With red eyes and a red nose, she looked into my face for a few seconds before nodding.

And instantly a smile Crept on my face as I started walking towards the hall room where the wedding would be held. I knew alongside the marriage, I have invited troubles for her, but as long as she's with me, I will make sure no one gets to touch her hair.

Third Pov

Both of them walked into the Aisle. As she doesn't have her father and her brother will never walk her down, Ares decides to walk with her. There was no other present there except for the family members of Ares and some of the Alpha kings.

Xenia's eyes scanned her surroundings as she gulped in fear. She didn't know any of them except for his family and her brother Leonor who looked like an angry Monster who was dying to kill her. On the parents of Ares, his little sister and his friends were smiling brightly, making her smile softly. Are they really happy for them, or there's something else that she couldn't see through??

Finally, they both stand facing each other, and his little sister, Alina, brings the rings.

"You're looking so pretty!" Alina whispered near Xenia while smiling brightly. Xenia smiled back and took the ring. Since Ares already gave her a ring, she just needed to put the ring on his fingers, and she did.

They took the vows together with their hands on hand. Xenia was almost lost the whole time while Area kept staring at her face.

And finally, after everything, the priest mentioned Ares to kiss Xenia, and this made her eyes go wide in shock. Kiss and Ares??

Xenia gulped and raised her head as she took a look at Ares. Unlike her, Ares looked calm as he took a step closer, and Xenia immediately closed her eyes tightly. She was waiting for the kiss when she felt his lips on her forehead.

In two seconds, he pulled back from the kiss and went back to his place as if nothing had happened.

'Huh, I should have known that. Why would he kiss me? He is also disgusted by me, just like the time he was when he accused me of trying to hurt his girlfriend.' Xenia thought and scoffed.

They both faced all the guests, who were clapping with smiles.

"Finally, we got our new member; welcome to our family, child." Ares's mom, Bella said, making Xenia surprised.

She knows the entire Wright family as they were very close to her parents, but after their death, they also pushed her away, making Xenia hate them. Now no matter what they do, she finds it difficult to believe.

"Ares, Xenia must be tired; take her back to your room; she needs rest." Alister, the Father of Ares, said, and he nodded his head and held Xenia's hand.

"Let's go." He didn't even give her a minute to talk when he started walking towards the door when he abruptly stopped in front of Leonor and turned towards Xenia, "Do you want to say goodbye to him??"

She blinked her eyes and turned towards Leonor with soft eyes as she could never take him as her mate, but he was the best brother one could have until he changed.

"That won't be necessary; she's no one to me, King," Leonor said without any expression on his face and making her heartache. Her eyes instantly turned teary, and it didn't go unnoticed by Ares.

"Well, my wife doesn't have anyone in this world; I have asked that you as my friend. However, tomorrow I'm throwing a welcome party for my Wife. I hope you'll give your blessings to us. Now excuse me." Saying it, Ares didn't spend another second as he walked out of the hall with his wife, as he won't tolerate anyone disrespecting his wife, no matter who he was!

Xenia took a look at Ares as she felt her heart take a beat with his act. He has always been goofy to her after her parent's death, and this is the first time after seven years he took a stand for her making her smile.

Ares also looked towards her face, and instantly she turned her face away from his as she couldn't dare to FALL FOR HIM AGAIN! NO!

"Here is the room of Ares, sorry, I mean your room. You both will be staying here. Mom changed the entire room for you." Alina was introducing the room while Xenia scanned the entire room, which still screamed masculinity and a little pinch of woman's taste, but it was far better than my old room.

"You should take some rest; it's already very late. Even tomorrow you have to attend the welcome party. I won't disturb you any longer." Saying it, Alina walked near the door. Just before she could leave, she turned back towards Xenia and Called her.

"Xenia."

Xenia also looked towards her and noticed the smiling face of Alina, "I'm glad that you came into our family. My brother can't get anyone better than you." With that, she left, leaving the surprised Xenia back as she still didn't know the reason behind their kind nature since they've never been so kind to her!

Xenia walked towards the balcony, which was huge for her liking. She stayed there for a few minutes before returning to the room as it was getting late, and Ares is still not there. She needs to tell him something as she could not talk to him since yesterday.

But Xenia was so tired that she couldn't help but lay down on the bed with heavy, sleepy eyes.

She kept waiting, but there was no news of Ares, 'Where are you, Ares??' she thought and closed her eyes.

Suddenly Xenia woke up when the familiar masculine scent rushed through her nose, making her open her eyes. She opened her almond eyes and noticed Ares standing on the door side with his eyes stuck on her. His eyes looked hungry, more like he was about to devour someone or about to pounce on someone.

Xenia gulped as his burning gaze started making her heart pound rapidly as she tightened her hold around her blanket.

Suddenly he started walking towards the bed while taking off his shirt and his eyes flashed something which Xenia could not read, but her eyes surely went wide after seeing him taking dangerous steps towards her.

Oh no!

What is he about to do???

Even before Xenia could point that out, she found Ares getting on top of her, she instantly kept her hands over his chest to stop him from coming closer, but Ares wrapped his hands around her slender waist and slammed his cold lips on her soft milky neck making Xenia moan softly.

She wanted to push him off, but his heavenly scent made her knees so weak that she found herself closing her eyes in the pool of pleasure!!
