His Surprise

It's been a week since that horrific incident, Adrian has not tried to force himself upon me but he sleeps next to me every night and holds me in the night. Though I hate it when he tries to hold me but I don't fight anymore as I am really scared of him. He might again ab*se me if I don't obey him. He takes care of me and gives me medicines on time. My bruises are healing but I know the scars on my heart will never heal. Sometimes I look back on my life and think about what did I do to land in this situation. 

My chain of thoughts was broken when I heard him calling my name. He came closer and sat beside me on the bed, he was smiling and his eyes were shining and then he said, "I have a surprise for you". I looked at him in confusion and that's when he announced, "Pack your bags, we are going for our honeymoon. We'll be leaving in two hours. Pack some summer clothes as the weather is going to be hot there." 

After hearing him, my hands started to shiver, my legs became like jelly and I couldn't move. I started sweating and my mind went numb. I didn't know what to do and how to stop him. I can't go with him. I can't let him rape me again. I don't love him. I was forced into this marriage so there's no point in going for the honeymoon.

I tried to say something but words were not coming out of my mouth. Adrian was about to leave when I said, "I..I...ddon't.. w..w..want to go. I am not ready yet." His smile disappeared from his face and I could see rage building inside him but somehow he tried to control himself. He took a deep breath before turning towards me and said," Hannah, I have been trying to behave nicely with you. I want to start afresh. Don't force me to do something that you might end up regretting. You're my wife and I can take you anywhere I want. We'll be leaving in two hours so get ready before that. I won't repeat myself again." With that, he just left. I couldn't control myself anymore and I started crying my heart out.

After some time, I got up from the bed and headed towards the bathroom. After changing my clothes, I turned around and looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes were looking dull. There was no charm or happiness and no hope! I am missing my old self. I am missing my friends but how do I contact them, he doesn't even let me use my phone. I really want to meet them. I came out of my thoughts when I heard a maid entering my room. Adrian had sent her to help me with the packing. She was carrying a few bikinis and lingerie in her hands. He must have got them for me. For how long has he been planning all this?

I just sat on my bed as I was in no mood to pack and she did all the packing for me. After that, she left and I just looked at the clock, still fifteen minutes to go. I sighed and took my stuff in my hands and left the room with a heavy heart. My hands are still shaking and my legs were just dragging my body forward.

I finally managed to reach the main door and saw him standing there already. He looked at me and smiled. I didn't want to smile back so, I just started staring at my feet.

Suddenly he held my wrist in his and started moving towards the lift. I tried to pull my wrist out of his hold but his grip got tighter. I stopped struggling when he gave a deathly glare to me. The driver was already waiting for us outside the lobby area. The driver took our stuff and put it in the car. We sat in the backseat and the car started to move.

I just wanted to run away but I know I won't be able to. All of a sudden an idea came into my mind and I thought of opening the car door and jumping out of it. I was trying to ponder upon the thought when I heard him saying, "Don't even think about it. You'll just hurt yourself as I will still take you on our honeymoon even if you break your leg". How the hell did he read my thoughts!!! 

My body immediately froze after listening to his threat. I looked at him in horror and saw him grinning. He's enjoying my helplessness. He knows I am scared of him. He's just a monster. I hate him and can't bear him even for a moment. I don't know how will I survive this trip with him!
