“Rhys?”
Mei gingerly opened the door to the hotel suite that she shared with Rhys. Peeking through the space that was barely more than an inch wide, she was relieved to find the common area empty.
She then opened the door wider in order to get in, and without even closing it behind her, trusting that it would automatically close and lock by itself, she made a run for it towards her own separate bedroom.
Once inside, the first thing she did was to frantically search the bathroom cupboards. She heaved a huge sigh upon finding an aerosol spray there, and through her barely open doorway, she pointed the nozzle towards the common area and let loose.
She could only hope that this would be enough to erase whatever faint trail of omega pheromones she had brought back with her.
