CHAPTER XXXVI : GRADUATION

-Kuzma-

            Weeks have passed and it's now our most awaited day. Guess what? It's Graduation day! After years of training we've finally arrived to this point of time where we graduate and be recognized for our efforts. 

            Well, aside from that, I'm more excited about Kurezma. She has improved a lot since the day she was informed that she's a hero or something else.

            During graduation, it's not just we'd be called on stage give us certificates and so on. We receive some though, especially when you ranked higher however it's not just that. 

            We get to demonstrate our skills in front of the principal and some important persons with all our strength and power then they give us points then graduation is done... that's it, so simple right? ahahahaha

            "Hey! what are you waiting for? Why aren't you wearing your graduation cloak?" Kurezma snapped me out it. I woke up from my deep thoughts and picked up my cloak that was placed on my bed together with my sword.

            "You're too excited" I told her as I jogged my way out of my room. She's already wearing her cloak while tying her sword around her waist and looked at me

            "No, I'm not. We're actually running late and you were just staring blankly out of nowhere as if imagining what does a graduation look like, or how does it feel...." she teasingly said as she winked at me and went back to her business

            "Of course I'm not and I'll just wear it at school, I don't want it to get dirty before the ceremony" I just answered and walked outside of the house which she also did after me.

            "You're overreacting" she said as she closed the door behind us "Due to your much excitement" she whispered but I just heard her mumbling those words ahahahaha

            "Shut up, I said I'm not" I uttered in between my chuckles and pulled out my sword

            "Gosh, I thought we're gonna walk all the way to the school, I don't want my cloak get dirty too before the ceremony as well" she said having the hint that I'd use transporter for us to get there

            "So you're excited about it too, you just said it" I poked her and immediately opened a transporter before I could hear anything she would say. I let her enter the transporter first then stepped in as she did. Minutes later we arrived in front of our school where our graduation is being held, and yea, our field was fixed already after almost five days. 

            Good thing it was done that quick, I don't want to do the ceremony in that cloud, I mean there's nothing wrong in there, but it's just nicer here.

            "I didn't say I'm not, like... everyone in class 369 is excited about it, even you" she defended herself as i closed the transporter and started walking towards our sit "Let alone you, you're so in denial" she continued

            "Shut up" I mumbled as we continued walking only to be stopped by someone who already word their cloaks

            "Hi guys, what took you so long?" Nazif appeared in front of us asking why we were almost late

            "He's just imagining things about graduation, I can't blame him if he's too excited" Kurezma answered as she rolled her eyes pertaining to me

            "I'm not imagining, I just want to look my best for this day" I clarified defending myself from her false accusations ahahahaha I'm not really spacing out, I was just fixing anything in my face

            "Unfortunately you're ugly so looking in your best is not really the best" Kurezma said as she stuck her tongue out to tease me

            "Rude" I turned to Aisha who just talked and laughed with Kurezma

            "He is cute" someone from behind us suddenly barged in our conversation and I happened to know that voice "And that makes you cuter" he added and went behind Kurezma to put his hands in her eyes to cover it

            "Ashtan! cut it off, my make up!" Kurezma exclaimed and drastically pulled Ashtan's hand out and shove it away

            "I'm sorry ahahahaha" Ashtan laughed as Kurezma faced him

            "You ruined it!" she irritably snapped and struck Ashtan lightly on his arm

            "No, it's not ruined, don't worry. You still look good if it's ruined or you hadn't put it though" Ashtan complemented her and smiled that just made Kurezma's expressions turned into an awkward one

            I purposely cleared my throat to get their attentions. They looked at me with silly reaction and awkwardness around them ahahahaha they're so funny

            "Whatever" Kurezma avoided her gaze with mine and started walking towards our chair as we heard the speaker calling everyone's attention. It was loud as a rumble of a thunder.

            "Seriously? you really put make up?" I heard Aisha asked as we all walked towards our positions

            "Yea, but just a light one, just to match the occasion" Kurezma answered, I heard Ashtan sighed from my right walking that made me smirk ahahahaha this two

            "You know how to put make up?" Aisha asked once again with excitement on her voice

            "Yea, i know how too" Kurezma paused as she answered "I've been practicing" she continued

            "So that was what you were doing for the past three years, huh?" I cut in and asked her with accusation upon my voice

            "Of course not, duhh... I've been training for those years, I just do this when I have some free time which you always take away from me" she hissed after saying that and then walked faster to get to out chairs. 

            The sitting arrangement were based on the teams that we had, so basically we get to sit with Aisha, Nazif, Ashtan. We immediately found our seats and went there to sit ourselves down since the ceremony is about to start.

            "Good day everyone, it's so nice to see you all here..." our principal greeted us as he started the ceremony. I've read a lot of article about graduations. First, the graduating students will receive some blessings from the elders for more great things for us. 

            Then they'll do some rituals to help us unlock more of our powers since we're done training, now it's all about discovering more of our abilities. After those rituals, we have to show them our full powers and abilities by demonstrating it to them. 

            Then we'll receive some recognition and some tokens of honors and appreciation, and that's all. The blessing and the rituals are the most important though so it is done right after the principal's speech.

            "...I have seen all of you trained so much. I have witnessed all of you open and reach such unique power of yours that will surely help you be strong enough as a person. And I am very happy to see all your determination and persistence to know who you really are"

            "You have been so disciplined, smart, understanding, regulation, and cooperation which makes you a responsible and powerful Truenos that will surely contribute to a better future of this place. You are our future for a better and more wonderful Azhakkstad..." blah blah blah I'll just wait until he finished his speech, I don't want to listen to it ahahahaha 

              I get what he's saying, it's just about how he is proud of us and that we'll save Azhakkstadd which he always repeats, and his speeches are alwats that long...

            "That would be all. Thank you so much for listening, and congratulations" he said in closing, gosh! good grief he's done already after a long period of time ahahahaha just kidding. But I'm not the only one who's not listening though. 

              The crowd started to applaud right after the principal stopped talking and went down the stage. I heard someone gasped around, I looked at Kurezma who was startled by the clapping sounds that made her hop out of shock. See, I told you I'm not the only one who's not listening, she's even worse than me, she's literally totally sleeping ahahahahaha

            "Good morning" Ashtan playfully said as she gained her consciousness

            "Why didn't you wake me up!? What's happening? Is it done already?" she asked as she looked around trying to decipher the happenings

            "Yea, you just missed the whole ceremony" I answered at her, I saw Nazif and Aisha behind Ashtan laughed with what I said but they hid themselves to ride with me to fool Kurezma ahahahahaa her reactions are priceless

            "What!? What happened? Did I miss it? Awwww why didn't you guys wake me up?" she said with a mixture of shock and disappointment ahahahaha she really had no idea

            "Yea" I said with a low tone as if sympathizing with her, the crowd just went silent and everyone sat properly without saying a word waiting for the next event

            "Tell me what happened" she said sadly as she stood up probably thinking to go home since she believed that Graduation is over, the others were silent to trying to make things believable

            "Hey sit down! ahahahahahaha" I grabbed her hand and pulled her to sit down while laughing softly so that i won't disturb other people ahahahahaha she really believed it, she's so funny

            "What? why?" she asked with so much confusion

            "It's not done yet, we're just proceeding with the rituals ahahahahaha" Ashtan answered for since I cannot talk because of so much laughter and I can't stop myself, all I can do is to hide myself so that no one aside from us would notice

            Ahahahahahahaha really guys, if only you could see this ahahahahahaha

            "What!?" she asked again but now with an annoying tone that same goes with her face, I turned to her to see her glaring at me, I still can't stop laughing... gosh! my stomach hurts already ahahahaha my jaw hurts too

            "I-i'm so...so-r....i-i'm sor..ry ahahahahaha" I tried my best to speak but I still can't, I've been laughing very hard ahahahaha

            "Shut up" she said annoyingly and pushed me that made me fall off my chair, ouch! that hurts

            I immediately stood up and went back to my chair and tried hard to stop laughing but I can't, now's not the time for it ahahahahaha I brushed a tear from my eyes, I looked at her facing forward still with a disgusted look, and the others who were already holding their stomachs as they also tried to stop laughing

            "Stop laughing, the ritual is about to start" Ashtan said without cracking his voice, though I can still see his face having the aftermath ahahahahahaha how did he manage? I noticed his hands caressing Kurezma's back but I didn't give much attention, probably his just calming her down ahahahahaha it's really funny!
