Ran started telling us that we should have a secured plan and we don’t have to rely with Astral’s suggestion which is really doubtful because I personally it won’t work. Yes, it worked before, but we’re not sure now if it still does. After all, throwing people around in a cliff isn’t an ideal thing to do.
I understand why Ran has to say that, it’s not just all about Astral, we also have to contribute something so that we will succeed this challenge. It was very hard for us to do this but must have been harder for Astral and also Dafrosa that they had to do it. I know the pressure ahahaha
“Thank you so much for saying that to me… and I’m sorry for bringing us down here, now we’re stuck here” Astral said after Ran appreciated all her efforts of bringing us all the way here. She still managed to bring us here anyway, at least at some point we had our progress.
Yet she was so negative as she apologized saying that it’s her fault that we’re stuck here. But I don’t blame her at all. I’d be angry if until now we’re still in that place where we landed and haven’t even though of something yet. At least now, we just have to think how to get up back.
“Don’t say that… we’re not stuck here. We just have to think of something how we can get out of here” Ran said consoling her saying things in a positive way so that Astral won’t lose her self confidence
“Think outside the box…” I suddenly exclaimed right after Ran spoke as if I’m telling everyone that we should start thinking of something now and not to waste time
“Come on everyone, we need all your brains…” Dafrosa laughed with what she said as if she’s making the mood lighter so that we won’t feel the burden at all
“I know…” I spoke as I thought about something. I doubted Astral a while ago when her plan worked, now I have to help her when her plan is starting to get all fuzzy “The quest maker said that as we go through the cliff we’re prohibited to go off or go away from it right?” I asked as I started to tell it to them
“Yes… what is it?” Ashtan answered me then asked to proceed to my plan
“Can I see the map?” I asked Ran as I looked at him. He quickly gave to me so I looked at it and tried studying it to see if my plan would work “There… I have an idea…” I said as I put up the map and showed it to them.
“Tell us quick…” Sohel said as they gathered near me to listen to whatever I am going to say. I looked at the map one more time to check if I’m pointing to the right location “The quest maker said that we should not go off the cliff nor get away from it right? What if we continued our way here….” I said as I trailed my finger from where we approximately are passing through the boundary and leading to the southwestern part of State of the Earth Metals.
“Look, the distance is just around one and a half to two miles, and it would take us like an hour and a half if we’d start walking now. Or at least an hour if we walk even faster…” I said so I stood up and started walking while they all followed and Dafrosa did her task as I planned on telling them while walking
I’m sure this will be effective.
“Look at this part here…” I said pointing at an area specifically near the boundary between the two countries but a little more towards the State of the Earth metals “The land structure started to change from this point on, even the motion of the wind and the speed it’s going” I added
“It seems like the deadly part is just here in the Earth Kingdom, so we’d be safe if we get until there since we can be able to withstand the wind in that area” I said explaining to them as to why I want us to get there “We’re still in the cliff though, we didn’t get away from it nor get off of it… so what do you guys say?” I said while walking asking them for their thoughts
“You’re right, he didn’t say which cliff we should be limited, that part in the next country is still a cliff ahahahaha why haven’t I thought about it a while ago” Ran said as he agreed with me as he laughed with his silliness indicating that he understood me
“Gosh, we’re lucky to have someone think about something so unusual as that in times of pressure…” Ashtan praised me right after Ran spoke, they must have understood my point
“But I don’t get it… why does the wind currents suddenly changed in that area?” finally someone asked as to why the wind currents suddenly changed, I looked at Thresh who asked that for a while then back to my path
“Well, if you look at the structure of this land masses here…” I said encircling with my index finger the area where the Toxin Domain met the Earth kingdom, and the Earth kingdom met the State of the Earth Metals “This cliff in the Earth Kingdom is lower and is placed between the two” I added
The cliff in the Earth Kingdom is in the space between the two other countries keeping them from meeting each other, making this cliff inside them as if having them as walls beside it
“The speed of the wind that comes to this cliff’s direction is faster than normal since it’s an open area and also above the sea. As the wind enters this space going to this cliff, the wind can’t easily get out as it’s trapped by the two land masses which served as walls around this cliff”
“Since the wind can’t easily get out, it flows around the whole are causing such unbearable current that become dangerous for us… the lower the area, where we are now, the slower the current since in this part, the wind can escape from clashing through the wind going to the direction of the edge of the cliff… “ I explained to them as to why we’re safer down here and why the cliff in the Toxin Domain and State of the Earth Metals is safer
“So that means, the wind can move freely hear and in the cliffs of the other two countries… they were not trapped that made them swirl around causing such strong current just like above, am I right?” Dafrosa asked clarifying what I have explained to them all
“You’re right…” I confirmed as I agreed with what she just said
“So that’s why I haven’t heard of any deadly cliff in our territory though it’s just connected here…” Joriz said finally realizing it. Now I understand why he never knew about this cliff when it’s actually connected to theirs and there would be a possibility that the one in their territory would have the same characteristic as this has.
“Yes that is it…” I agreed with him
“So as we get to the area where you pointed us, how do we get up?” Sohel asked me the final thing that I have to say before I could ever forget it
“About that… we’ll all have to work for our own…” I initiated “We will have to climb up to get on top” I added
“What? Isn’t that dangerous too, almost the same with throwing people… it’s just that we won’t be thrown, but we fall…” Sohel disagreed with me as if saying that this plan won’t work, yet as to what I see, it’s the only way
“We’ve got no choice, Astral can’t throw us backup, we can’t even ask Dafrosa to just bring us up because I know how exhausted she is now… her hands have been working for how many hours now” I said telling him as to why we have to do it “Do you have anything aside from climbing up?” I asked him back
“No…” he shortly answered so I just focused myself walking since our plan has been settled “Dafrosa would lead us up… I bet she can still make something where we can hold and step on as we climb…” I added telling them the final part of the plan. I hope nothing goes wrong. And if something does, I hope I could thing fast…
After another hour of walking, I noticed how the soil changed in texture and color as if it had something different from before. So I checked the surrounding to see if we made it to the cliff under the Earth Metal’s territory. And it really seemed like it. The wind directions had finally a specific direction, unlike a while ago where it’s unfathomable.
“Astral, could you check outside if we’re already in our destination…” I said asking her to see if we made it. She flew outside and started inspecting the whole area, she quickly came back and smiled giving us a thumbs up confirming that we really made it
“But let’s continue a little bit forward, there are some roots in that part which could help us climbing…” she said pointing forward “Oh well, you… because I can fly…” she added. We continued to walk forward yet I noticed how Dafrosa went a little slow. Not that slow though, but her speed decreased from how she did it a while ago…
I knew this would happen that’s why climbing is the best option we had.
“Now you start climbing…” Astral said inviting us to go up. Dafrosa went first and then the others follow. Astral stood there as our surveillance as to whatever may come and we’d be prepared. I noticed that the sun is already setting and that it really took us the whole after noon walking from one point to another.
Now it’s my turn to climb, I’m second to the last since Ran chose to be last, while I am following Sohel. It’s really has roots here probably from the trees above and it seems strong so we can hold on to it and Dafrosa doesn’t have to bother herself making something for us.
“Daf! Noooo!” I heard Joriz screaming, as I looked up I saw Dafrosa falling as if she fainted in the middle of climbing herself up “Get here!” he added as he stopped for a while and told us
“Astral!” Ran screamed calling Astral, good thing she saw what happened and was alert as she caught Dafrosa before she could vanish from out sight. I tried to look down below, aside from seeing Ran, I saw how the thick fog covers the whole area.
I continued climbing up until we all made it.
“How is she?” I asked as we rested ourselves on the ground
“I don’t know, she fainted while climbing, she must be very exhausted…. She didn’t even say anything” Astral answered as she had Dafrosa in her arms
“Let her rest…” Joriz said as he walked towards us and held Dafrosa’s hand, I think he’s healing her
“Hey… thank you for saving my plan” Astral said looking at me
“That’s nothing… your plan is great, I just have to add something to it” I said consoling her so that she won’t feel so bad. Her plan really is cool…
“After you guys feel fine, we’d start walking again to meet the quest maker---”
“No need… you’ve done great” we heard someone spoke. We turned around to see who said that and obviously it’s the quest maker driving our ride. Gosh, good thing he came with our ride, so that we don’t have to walk again. Blessun flew towards us and landed near Ashtan.
“I didn’t expect you’d be doing that and I am so proud you all…” he said and smiled at us “Here take it” he continued and handed us our reward. Ran received and nodded his head thanking our quest maker.
